I'm a brand new concertina user, the proud owner of probably the
last new Bastari Hayden system 46-key duet concertina in existence!

For whever it was who was looking for concertinas, a great place in
the US is called The Button Box in Amherst, Massachusetts. They
have many a free-reed, in all shapes, sizes, systems and conditions.
Anglo, English, McCann duets, Hayden (well, they DID 'til I bought it),
Melodeon, Accordion, you name it. If you're interested, you can
get on their mailing list or just call them:

The Button Box
9 East Pleasant Street
Amherst, MA 01002
USA
(413) 549-0171

You can also get Concertina & Squeezebox magazine by sending a check
($15 for US, $20 for Canada, $25 for Foreign) to:

Concertina & Squeezebox
P.O. Box 6706
Ithaca, NY 14851
(607) 273-1440

Good luck - I'm totally enraptured with mine! If you have the chance to
check out the duets, particularly the Hayden system, go for it.

Similarly, does anyone know if there is a newsgroup somewhere for
users of free-reed instruments or folk intstruments, etc? I'd
love to find one.

Matt
