well, I don't know, if I've got what your're looking for, but I've found a
song named "The fields of Athenry". I think it's the same... you can find it
in "Folksongs and Ballads popular in Ireland, Volume 4", N° 60 (fine, little
books, by the way...), Ossian publications, Cork. Let me know, if you need
futher help !

THE FIELDS OF ATHENRY Time: 4/4 Tenor: G Bass: D-E
- Pete St. John, 19?? (modern)
- Record: Paddy Reilly, Greatest Hits
By a lonely prison wall, I heard a young girl call-ing
Michael they are taking you a-way
For you stole Trevelyn's corn, so the young might see the morn
Now a prison ship lies waiting in the bay
CHORUS:
Low lie the fields of Athen-ry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly
Our love was on the wing, we had dreams and songs to sing
It's so lonely round the fields of Athen-ry
By a lonely prison wall, I heard a young man call-ing
Nothing matters, Mary, when you're free____
Against the Famine and the Crown, I re-belled, they ran me down
Now you must raise our child with digni-ty
By a lonely harbour wall, she watched the last star fall-ing
As the prison ship sailed out against the sky
Sure she'll wait and hope and pray, for her love in Botany Bay
It's so lonely round the fields of Athen-ry
