Everybody's gonna dress up in costumes,
sing, dance, play, bang on all kind of percussions
and go crazy........
Not to nag, but my birthday is spelled "Halloween". Everybody's getting
into the typo thing, though. At the website you refer to above, it's a
"custome" party!!
Nice to see there's a real Brazilian restaurant in Dallas again.
Nobody cares how feijoada is spelled!

Well, I knew/assumed there was a growing number of churrascarias in the
US, and it makes sense that meat-loving country (e.g. Texas) would be a
good site for such. But I'm still surprised there are so many. I don't
think there are that many in LA, which has a notable Brazilian
expatriate community.
In Orange county two new churrascarias have opened, and one has closed
in the past 5 years. Leaving a total of 3. Not bad.
That according to my Brazilian friends doesn't
qualify as authentic Brazilian Place.

Looks delicious. Any in the San Diego area?

Oh I'm sure. If they've got them in Omaha, and Montgomery I figure
they have them in San Diego. I like the meat a lot, particularly the
marinated stuff and chicken livers and sausages. But Nancy is crazy
for the feijoada spreat with all kinds of salads and breads, bolinhos
de bacalhao and puddings and who-knows what. That's the really creative
part.
When we go sometimes, I get the meat dinner and she gets their non-meat dinner.
They still have stuff in the salad-bar (really more like a salad
garden) that includes meats, such as in the soup, bolinhos and other
fish stuff and so forth. But it's not the mega-slicer at the table.
In San Diego, just snooping through Google, it seems that samba Grill
and Rei do Gado are the current faves:

Yeah, sorta. North San Diego County. Encinitas, to be specific.
I was just down in the Gaslamp District, and did not see the
recommended places. But I wasn't specifically looking for them.
Next time I'm down there, I guess. Thanks.

Yolie's, a churrascaria in Newport Beach, use to have outlets in both
San Diego and Las Vegas. Yolie shared ownership with the San Diego
outlet with another who commandeered her half in a lawsuit. She bitched
about it endlessly one night. The Vegas outlet was still going very
strong when she shut the local branch. I'm guessing one of those
joints morphed from the San Diego Yolie's if you remember it.
Maybe we ought to get a bite together some time mid-way. That would be
about San Clemente. Though closer to me, last night I heard raves's
about a French seafood joint in Dana Point, named Gemmell's. We could
bitch and moan about damn near everybody on the musical wing of usenet,
you and I!

Never heard of it. Where was it located?

Not at all into French, and not really into seafood (unless it's grilled
fresh white sea bass. <g> I'm more of a gourmet pizza kind of guy.

Dunno. Her bitching didn't extend to addresses. But I remember
specifically Yolie saying that they weren't allowed to keep her name.
She looked a little, structurally, like Leny Andrade. I nice lady, but
given to being a bit tedious on these topics.

Well I'm sure we can find some kind of quality pizza in San Clemente if
we can find the time... Me, I'm out the next three weeks. Fortunately
managing to get back to Japan for some real food (grilled or otherwise,
it hardly matters). Maybe later in the year we should do that.
