Milton's version is in Portuguese with the lyrics slightly modified. It is
the one used for the movie Dona Flor (it is available at Blockbuster).

Simone was starting her carreer when she sang that song. She used to sing
Chico's version.

I never heard of any version in English, but certainly if it exists, someone
here will be able to help you.
