I'm trying to learn how to play Coração Vagabundo, by Caetano Veloso, on the
piano and I'm finding it difficult to get the rhythm right.
The fake book I'm using is the Caetano Veloso Songbook, ed. Lumiar. It seems
to have at least one one mistake: two notes are missing somewhere between
the 11th and 12th measures (the notes to "UM-CHO" where the lyrics go
"um-cho-rar mais sem fim")
As transcribed in the Songbook edition, the song is cut time (2/2) with
quarter-note triplets in most measures, making it a 3 against 2 pattern. But
just playing the triplets sounds awful! There is a swing feel to this song,
wich to my ears is easy to recognize, but I don't know how to translate this
to a pattern for my fingers to play without slipping out of the measure.
Is there any other sheet lead of this song available?
Thanks for any hints,
CB
