Trane's "Crescent" has for a long time been one of my favorite
Jazz albums, although I only had a tape copied from a friend's
tape copied from ... , and so it sounded quite awful.
Now that I finally got the CD, the following questions arise:
The CD inlay states that it was recorded in two sessions, one
on April 27 (which happens to be my birthday) and one on
June 1, 1964, but it doesn't say which tune was recorded in
which session. I'm sure some of you must know this...
Furthermore I'd like to know who the "Wise One" is that one
tune's title refers to, and who is that Lonnie, whose lament
Trane sings (I guess the Bessie in "Bessie's Blues" is
B. Smith, right ?).
Bye
Jan

Wise One, two guesses:
1) Martin Luther King Jr.
2) God
