The lineup for the Vancouver Jazz Fest has just been announced, detailed info
at - http://www.jazzvancouver.com/jazzfest.cfm
Dates are June 22 to July 1 all over the greater Vancouver area.

A list of artists follows, note that many of the artists appear in
multiple settings. For example, the Barry Guy Orchestra features
Evan Parker, Raymond Strid, Marilyn Crispell, Mats Gustafsson etc.
There are a number of trios, quartets etc. that are drawn from these
artists and others! Come check it out ....

Impressive lineup. It's depressing for me (as someone who lives in Toronto)
to reflect that not so long ago you could legitimately argue whether Toronto
or Montreal had the better fest. Now it seems Vancouver has surpassed both,
and Toronto has declined into sub-mediocrity. At least there's still
Guelph.
