Definitive "Black Coffee"

I can't pinpoint the reason, but the song's drawn my attention, and
I'd like the community's input on particularly powerful versions of
this tune. Which vocalist do you prefer? Which versions?

Can anyone suggest on which (original) recordings to find these
versions? I scanned AllMusic and that site shows literally hundreds,
and many on compilations. I'm not a huge fan of comps. I prefer to
hear the music from the perspective of its originally released
context.
