(1) The original 1956 version by Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers on Columbia
is out-of-print, with a few of its tracks reproduced on a currently
available Columbia CD -- but not "Nica's Dream".
(2) The preferred later version is on Silver's album "Horace-Scope" on
Blue Note (1960?), but the electronic catalog at Tower Records tells me
that this album is "no longer made" (if it ever was on CD).
Add to this the fact that neither of the TWO currently available volumes of
"The Best of Horace Silver" on Blue Note CDs contains this song. I mean,
what is it?! Is there something badly wrong with Silver doing this tune?
I seem to recall having heard it on the radio enough times...
Thanks again for the (frustrating) leads.

Horace also recently recorded it on an album for Columbia (in '93 I think).
It isn't a very good version. He has a singer on it and it doesn't cook
like the original on Horace-Scope does.
