I need someone out there to jog my memory...can anyone think of
black baritone jazz vocalists (from the 1930's-1960's) not
mentioned in the list below. Please post with as much information
as you have available (orchestras, song/album titles, labels,
recording dates, etc.).

You forgot Earl Coleman who passed away earlier this year. He recorded
with Bird in the 40s. There's some stuff on Prestige, reissued by Fantasy
and some pretty nice out of print Atlantic sides from the 60s but his
shining moments were with Bird. Check out the complete Dial recordings of
Charlie Parker on Stash CD.

How about Earl Coleman and Kenny "Pancho" Hagood. Coleman recorded with
Bird and Erroll Garner on the Dial label, and Kenny was featured with
Dizzy during his RCA years. And keep an eye on young Kevin Mahogany, out
of KC. He was just signed by Time Warner.
