From another thread I learned of Marcus Belgrave whose nic is Fathead.
I just purchased a CD by another Fathead, David Newman, which by the way
contains a riveting interpretation of Donald Byrd's "Cristo Redentor".
How in the heck can more than one musician go by the logo, Fathead?
In fact, how many Fatheads are there?

There was a local rock band in Philly called Fathead. Last I checked they
were still together, but that was a while back.

David "Fathead" Newman earned the nic by blowing (literally) a sax exercise
as a teen. His music teacher was so upset he called him a "fathead" in
class and the name stuck. Puzzled by the nic ascribed to trumpeter Marcus
Belgrave. My concern is that both were in Ray Charles's R&B/jazz combo in
the late fifties and early sixties, and I wonder whether someone confused
Belgrave and Newman.
