Who are the rest of the players on Death Wish? Especially the track
'Fill Your Hand'? Thanks.

my best guess is that particular group is the same people from the
Thrust/Headhunters albums, at least the sound is the same of those
players...Paul Jackson on electric bass, Bennie Maupin on saxes and bass
clarinet, Bill Summers on percussion, plusHarvey Mason and /or Mike
Clark on drums. That would be my best guess. Maybe Dr Pat Gleeson/synths
is on some of this, but this is only a guess.

take care,

The "All-Music Guide" (http://www.allmusic.com) says only:
Herbie Hancock - Synthesizer, Composer, Conductor, Keyboards, Vocals
David Rubinson - Producer
Sorry, that I couldn't help you.
I think it's really ironic that the makers of this film - which is
basically speaking horrible right-wing garbage - chose to use *black*
funk music...this raises another question: why did Herbie Hancock (I
like his music of that era) bother with this "vigilante stuff"?

Greetings
Franz

I need to check it when I get home but I'm almost certain the lineup includes:

Bennie Maupin - reeds
Mike Clark - Drums
Paul Jackson - Bass

Confirmed by David Meeker's "Jazz in the Movies", probably
out of print but a great resource for films/soundtracks up to the
early 80's (before the 5000 channel universe). This was also the only
only source that I've ever seen that gives the line-up for Last Tango
(Ultimo Tango!) with Gato, Charlie Haden, Joachim Kuhn and Daniel
Humair (arranged and conducted by Oliver Nelson). Even the recent
reissue didn't give the line-up. I haven't checked the reissue of
Death Wish (we've got it in the shop) to see if it gives any new
info.
