After searching on allmusic.com and various sites, I cannot find a CD that includes Duke Ellington's own version of "Wrong Side of the Railroad Tracks". Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Bob

I asked about this on the Duke Ellington List serve. Apparently he never reorded it himself and the Dr. John version may be the only one that exists. Joe Medjuck In article <9n37rl$k49$1...@nrchh45.us.nortel.com>, "Michael, Bob

Are you talking about "Across the Tracks Blues"? If so, it's on the "Blanton - Webster Band" set. CN

Too bad, I was planning to make a CD of Ellington's versions of the songs on the Dr. John CD (to introduce a Dr. John fan to Ellington). One track short!
By the way, I've never heard of the Duke Ellington listserve. How do I join? Many thanks, Bob
