He was kind of Buddha-like when I saw him at the Blue Note for the 60th
birthday month, and that was a few years ago.

But he still plays great.

Just think of all the great music the world would have missed if Chick
had spent a few thousand hours on the treadmill instead of at the piano
or in the club or concert hall.

I wouldn't say "incredibly fat". Hey, the cats are getting older. I
relate.

Good point, Tom. He's probably about average for a guy in his early
60's who isn't fanatical about nutrition and fitness.

I have to say, though, I saw Ringo Starr on the cover of Modern Drummer
magazine (or something similar) and he looks amazingly trim at 65. He's
someone whose 1960's photos implied that he should be rather
Buddha-like by now. He is a vegetarian, though.

Several weeks ago, the day after seeing Corea perform, the radio
announcer stated that Corea resembled the The Pillsbury Dough Boy. No, I
won't devulge the announcer's name.

He is a long time fanatic of the Scientology "diet."

Not sure, but no thanks for pointing me to that site. Now I need to find
$100 for the "Rendevous in NY 10-DVD boxed set".
