Does anyone know anything about Joy Bryan, a jazz singer of
the 1950's and early 1960's? Is she still alive? I would love to contact
her. I have an album, produced in 1960 on Contemporary Records that I
just love! It is even signed by her. Any info, anyone?

She also recorded an LP for the MODE label in the late 50's, and was
married to Lester Koenig (owner/founder of Contemporary). My
understanding is that it was at her instigation that the company, which
continued to be run by by Lester's son John (not her son, btw) after
Lester's death, was sold to Fantasy. Still alive, apparently not
singing anymore, as she seems not to have recorded after the 1960 date.

So, it's now 2018. She died last year at the age of 90. I know her son Alan Bryan, who is in his 60's. Pretty amazing rendition of My Funny Valentine, though, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWw82nIeENw
