A couple weeks ago, Chuck Nessa posted that the Berkshire Record Outlet--a
company from which I used to order classical LP cut-outs by the boxload 20 or
more years ago--was carrying the RTE label's live jazz CDs for $1.99 per disc
($3.98 for doubles).

I ordered 14 titles (19 CDs) for about $44 (incl. S&H), and they filled the
whole order. Overall, the sound quality of these discs range from pretty good
to very good (recorded by French radio in the late'50s to late'60s), and the
performances, though somewhat variable, are never less than solid, and in some
cases (such as the Cannonball set from '69) are excellent.

I don't recall the URL, but a search will turn it up. Once at the Berkshire
site, a label search for RTE will bring up all the titles, but also an equal
number of classical titles on the "pro arte" label (because of the "rte" in
that label's spelling) that you'll have to wade through.

Not affiliated with BRO in any way, just thought this was a good deal worth
reiterating.
