So far there has been no conformation that this magazine actually exists
and the growing consensus seems to be that this is entirely a scam in
order to obtain free CDs. Mr. Oosterbos has never consented to supply a
copy of the magazine nor has he answered any inquiries in a direct
fashion, simply more solicitations.
If any one has any information about the supposed FURORE magazine please
let us in on it. Otherwise I advise anyone receiving one of these
letters to ignore them. Pass the word.

Dear Ellery et. al.,
This guy is a complete fake! Don't send him anything! A Dutch friend,
saxophonist Luc Houtkamp (of course the Dutch musicians knew about him
first) told me he is a famous poseur over there. A few years ago I even
wrote back and challenged him, he sent me an indignant letter about how he
was just trying to support the music. So as you mention I said OK, send
me a copy of this "Furore" magazine. No response. But I hear from the
Dutch cats "Furore" does exist. Its a porn mag!

This is a scam, as confirmed by our Dutch distributor. He solicits us
(and presumably other labels) every year or so, and never responds to
a request for a copy of the magazine.
