Here is another example of a person not taking the time to check out the
proper way of spelling. There is no Montmartre Jazzhaus in Copenhagen, since
Copenhagen is NOT in Germany.

It is Jazz HOUSE Montmartre.

Ulf,
I have the set. They spell it Jazzhus. Is that correct?

Right! That's in Danish1 They mostly spelled it that way and sometimes for
international purposes "Jazz House". "Haus" is German and would never appear
that close after WWII.

Like I just answered on an other ng, that is correct. It is the Danish
version which they used most of the time. Sometimes for international
purposes (on records for example) they used the English "Jazz House" - but
never the German "Jazzhaus". Particularly not that close to WWII.

Right now they have "Copenhagen Jazz House". The Montmartre was bought by a
rock singer - famous for being a sexual masochist - who brought in more and
more rock and kicked jazz out bye and bye. The house finally had to close
for financial reasons.

The "Copenhagen Jazz House" will not - like all Danish jazz clubs - get less
(or no) money from the state next year, so they will not be able to have as
many great artist as before. Let's see how long they can stay in business.
;-((

PS If you go to Copenhagen, do not forget to listen to the "Radio Jazz" on
FM 102,9. Monday-Friday 21.00-04-00 and Saturday-Sunday 13.00-16.00
