About a year ago I heard a wonderful singer named Fiona Duncan on WDET-
Detroit. The DJ (Ed Love) mentioned that she was from Ireland, but her
recordings were not being distributed outside of that country. Has
anyone heard of her? How could I aquire any of her recordings. Thanks in
advance.

Frank,
I thought she was from Scotland- Glasgow to be exact. Then again, I may
be thinking that because I heard her name a lot when I was living in
Edinburgh, and the gigs were usually in Glasgow. I never heard her.

Fiona is from Glasgow. You heard her in Detroit, as her sister lives in Ann
Arbor and she visits often. I am not a great fan of jazz singers in general,
but Fiona has that extra touch. She has some lp's out as well as at least two
cd's that I know of.

FWIW, she spells her name Fionna. She sings regularly here in
Edinburgh, too -- lovely lady.
