I know I've read 20-30 books on the Beatles and John Lennon, and nowhere
have I seen George Harrison's middle name (if he has one). John, Paul and
Ringo all have a first, middle and last name, but not George. If memory
serves me, George is the youngest of 5 kids - if he hasn't got a middle
name, do his siblings?

George has no middle name. Can't remember ever seeing one for Ringo, but I
wouldn't swear to it.

In Geoffery Giuliano's 1990  Harrison biography "Dark Horse", he states that George's given name at birth was George Harold Harrison.

Harold was George's father's and brother's name.

I checked this out in "The quiet one"..I dunno about this book (whether it's
good/bad/beautiful/nasty)It was in a book shop and I noticed it, remembered
the post and looked at the first chapter. Says that Harold, the eldest was
named after his Dad, and his sis, Louise after his mum. There was another
Bro too called Peter.

Anybody know where these people are, what they do etc etc? Just curious.

Says that George was named after the king (no not Elvis) Georgy VI

Reasonably thorough, lots of footnotes, somewhat dense
literary style but I rather like Clayson's work. He wrote a
bio on Ringo as well, and a very entertaining book on the
Merseybeat scene in England.

George's parents are deceased. Lou Harrison, his sister, lives
in the States, attends and speaks at Beatlefest, and is not in
her brother's good graces.

Harold and Peter work with/for George as estate managers.

Sounds right to me. That makes the Beatles a reasonably
patriotic combo (John *Winston* Lennon....).

According to the Henley Standard, there's a Peter Harrison on a council or
maybe a community board. Anyone know if that's George's brother?

I believe George Harrison's middle name is Harold, thus middle name he received after his dad, Harold. Now Ringo Starr's full was Richard Henry Parkin Starkey, Jr., even though it's not listed on Wikipedia. Ringo's father was also called Richard, so that's why Ringo received Jr. on his last name.

You get the gold star for answering a 20+ year old question...

In 2020 you can just ask Google. This is the answer:

What are the Beatles middle names?
It's almost a trick question: George and Ringo didn't have middle names; John's middle name was Winston, later changed to Ono; and Paul's middle name was, well, Paul—his full name was James Paul McCartney. If you aced that one, you may be ready for our Beatles trivia quiz.Feb 8, 2014

Ringo's name was NOT Richard Henry Parkin Starkey . That was somebody
else, Ringo's father.

And 'Jr' is an American phenomenon - seldom (if ever) traditionally used
anywhere else.

If George doesn't have a middle name, then why is he named George James Harrison on the Beatles wiki. Also, there are 4 children in the Harrison family.
