I've been trying to research which Lennon interview this quote came from.

"I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies,
the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to
say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?"

Do you know?

I've read it before...it's not from the 1980 Playboy interview, but I'm thinking it must have been from that time period.

I recall he did say something similar in his Playboy interview.

The quote appears in that collection as it does in many places, but I'm trying to figure out from which interview Lennon actually said it.

I thought the Walrus was Paul.

Shit, now I'm more confused...

I don't know the origin, but it's reproduced on a lot of web pages.
Anyone know where he said he was a 'christian communist'?

I distinctly remember John Lennon saying this on something some time ago.

He'd have to have, wouldn't he?

Not sure, which is why I asked, but I think it was from a recorded interview...there was one he did where he talks about the duality of electricity...it can power a city, but can kill if you touch it (or words to that effect). I think the "fairies" quote comes from that. I was trying to find a transcript, but he gave at least 3-4 lengthy recorded interviews from the time Double Fantasy came out until his death a few weeks later.

It's really not important...I will be able to carry on without knowing from where it came. :-)

Maybe you could put the quote into a search engine and see what pops up
If several interviews appear as choices,
then perhaps go with the earliest one as the interview of origin.

I have done that, but all that shows up are sites that quote famous people, but it doesn't show when and where he said it.

When and if you finally kick the prescription painkillers, you will
realize you should have stayed on them.

The sad thing is, he IS sober. IMO

This is the best NIL can do, when sober. IMO.

With the nasty crap you toss out, many people here need pain killers. IMO

Now, IMO, why don't you try a nice hot cup of tea or some yoga? IMO. Or better yet, meditate on your genitals. IMO Imagine them rising. IMO.

Perhaps he should meditate on the lyrics "it's all too much for me to take the love that shining all around here". IMO

even John Lennon was allowed to criticize certain artists or entities in his songs. His songs were not always full of praise. So when we criticize Yoko we're just exercising freedom of speech
