There's no way The Beatles happened by chance...

The songs are perfection in a pure state(Heaven - Earth).

For God is the programmer of the divine computer...

Do you use Windows 7? There is no God.

Can you tell me what it's like playing in a Beatles tribute band?

To paraphrase one the prophets, St Paul, there's good and bad in
everygig.
Here's when it's good: groovy gear, good sound, cool venue,
appreciative audience, fun all round. http://youtu.be/hrEtlsUzZJ8
(the audio is actually a combination of two performances, hence the
double-trackingness of it.
Here's when it's bad. Real bad. You be the judge:http://youtu.be/

(This was for a Beatles-edition Readers Digest promotion - switch on
caption setting for full karaoke effect. Enjoy!)

Hey, it's great to love the Beatles, just don't bring the G word guy
into it (G-d liked the R-----g S----s better anyway).

Yes, you must be censored. You can curse, mock, belittle and troll,
you can talk about violence, sex, and rock n' roll... just don't bring
the "G word guy" into anything here. :\

Great song, but I'm sure God didn't write it. I think the oh-so-human
Neil Sedaka wrote that (sung by the great Gene Pitney, of course.)

It always hurts, Robert. I never got over this girl in high school
I decided not to pick up on. She called me at 3 in the morning
in 1998 and we talked for awhile. All these years since then
I've wondered what happened to her. Well, I read online
2 days ago that her mother died, but she died before
her in Nov, 2001. I was in shock. She was 43.

True, BUT... RCA Victor rejected the song as recorded by Neil Sedaka
because it was not recorded in their New York studios, as Sedaka's
contract with RCA stipulated.

The producers then erased Sedaka's vocal tracks and replaced them with
the voice of Pitney, and the result was a #7 Billboard ranking for
Pitney's version of the song.

One of my favourite and evocative songs from childhood. BTW that
doubling of the beat (don't know the technical term) at the end of the
song is the 1and2and3and...timing you need to play in your head to get
the Drive My Car intro right.

Aldous Huxley once used Beethoven's Ninth as proof of the existence of
God in a book.
You might want to turf out the computer analogy that is just an
improvement on the once popular clockwork analogy.

So very sorry to hear about your childhood love; 43 is way too
young to pass away

She did drugs like LSD in the smoking area of the school when
I knew her, so I think she died of problems with her liver.
Thanks for your response.

No, we had a huge smoking area. Kids did all kinds of drugs too.
One time somebody handed me a joint, and a teacher walked
out the door. I had to stick the damn thing in pocket to hide
it. I usually passed on the joint though. I was a beer drinker.
We're talking 1973. The teacher moved on fortunately, cause
the lit joint was about ready to either burn my hand or a hole
in my pocket.

If and I emphasize IF she was doing alcohol and shooting drugs, well,
not good for the liver.
Well best not to guess. So many self destructive choices available
for people these days
I think it is best to view the human body as a holy temple. We tend
to take our lives and our health for granted and feel indestructible
especially in our younger years

Again my sympathies

It is difficult however I try to have faith that there is an afterlife
and she is in a better place though I know it brings little comfort to
those closest to her

Thank you. I just "assume" she was doing drugs and drinking
alcohol. Her obit said to send contributions to the liver
something association....or to the Make Wish foundation.
But....I know this sounds crazy, but I have some doubts
she is really dead. Her obit looks like it was written by
a 6 year old....to name one thing. Is it possible for some
one to fake their own death?

I believe in an afterlife. We are only in a shell.

Perhaps they were meant to be an inspiration for your musical
expression.

Perhaps they were meant to be a catalyst for creativity and a major
turn in the world of music for all of us.

Or, perhaps like any other musical force they were meant to be
whatever we interpret their importance or lack of importance to be

Well said indeed.
Since two of them are dead, and the group has disbanded years ago I am
still hoping that God will prove that the Beatles exist, in the
present moment. It will take that kind of miracle for the 4 of them
to be alive and reunited now.
