BEATLE FREAK CODE -- Version 1.01
By Shawna Woodall(JLenn...@aol.com)
Inspired by the Geek Code and its many offspring
Including this code in your .sig, homepage, or tattooing it
on your ass is a good (But confusing) way of communicating with other Beatle
freaks exactly what kind of freak you are, and vice versa. Find
out how many times they've seen each movie, which Beatle is their fave, if
they've ever seen the infamous "Self portrait" flim,
and so on... The BF code consists of several sections, each with
a letter and various qualifiers. By stringing all of them together,
you can make your overall BF code which is all other BF's need
to find out what kind of freak you are...
Beatle Freak Code Version
The first element of the code is "BFC" followed by the version
number. In this case, it would be BFC1.01
Variables
For those things which are approximate, changing, imprecise, or
just no one else's damned business, there are a variety of
variables that can be used in each section. These are mostly the
standard variables used in the Geek, Goth, Animaniacs!, and other
net Codes...
@ This indicates that the said trait is not very rigid and may
change with time or with individual interaction; used directly
after a number, it indicates that the number is an
approximation. "V500@" indicates that the freak has seen
AHDN, or whatever, about 500 times.
+ - Pluses and minuses are used frequently to mark things that you
like or don't like (such as songs or certain movies) or things
which are frequent or infrequent (like surfing Beatles web sites).
? The character, placed after the code it modifies, indicates a
lack of knowledge about the topic. For instance, "VYS?"
indicates someone who has never seen "Yellow Submarine".
! This character, placed BEFORE the code it modifies, indicates a
refusal to participate in this category. This is different from
the "?" variable, as "VYS?" indicates someone who has never seen
"Shock Treatment" but "V!YS" indicates someone who REFUSES to
watch "Yellow Submarine".
Viewings
# - Number of times you have viewed each movie. "V" stands for
Virgin(You haven't seen it).
Use "@" with a number for an approximation, or use the
exclamation point if you don't know or care and think that
people who do keep track should get a life
YS# - Number of times seeing Yelow Submarine.
An exclamation point before the "YS" indicates that you
refuse to watch it (at all, or ever again); a question
mark after the "YS" merely indicates that you haven't seen
it YET.
HDN# - See above.
HELP# See above
MMT# Again, above
LIB# You know by now
SP#- Self portrait. A flim of John's You-Know-What.
R# - # of Beatles or related books read
I would be VYS2,HDN7,HELP25,MMTV,LIBV,SPV&R45
Fave Beatle: Easy enough. Scale of one to 6, which Beatle or former Beatle
is your fave/least fave, inbetween.
J# -John Lennon, number of rating for him.(Ditto every Beatle)
P#- Paul McCartney
G#- George Harrison
R# Ringo Starr
S# Stuart Sutcliffe
PB# Pete Best.
I'd be FBJ1,P4,G5,R3,S2&PB6
Internet
F# - FTP sites or file archives. An ampersand indicates that
you have an archive (WWW or FTP); the truly geeky can
provide a number of hits (use the various qualifiers as
necessary). Add a plus sign if you spend a lot of time
surfing Beatles sites, or a hyphen if you very rarely do so.
W# - World Wide Web. All modifiers from "F" above apply.
N - The Postings About The Fab Four and their music news
group(rec.music.beatles)
A plus sign indicates that you are very active; a minus
sign indicates that you mainly lurk.
C - Chat. All modifiers from "N" above apply.
I'd be IF-,W&+,N+,C-
Memorabilia
B# - How many Beatles related books (including any
comic books) do you have? (Feel free to use the
plus sign to indicate "a lot" for any of these.)
R# - How many Beatles recordings (vinyl, cassette, CD)
do you have?
V# - How many different Beatlesvideotapes/laserdiscs do you have?
O# - Other: trading cards, bumper stickers, fanzines, posters,
buttons (here's where a minus for "a few" and a plus for
"a lot" really come in handy).
Put me down for MB1R15V1O3
String them all together to get your Beatles Freak Code.
Mine would be:
BFC1.01 VYS2,HDN7,HELP25,MMTV,LIBV,SPV&R45 @ FBJ1,P4,G5,R3,S2&PB6 @
IF-,W&+,N+,C- @ MB1R15V1O3
Terri pulled Charles closer. She teased him by starting to kiss him, but
drawing back just before their lips touched. Finally she decided to get down to
buisness. As she kissed him, she drew in a breath. "What smells like dead
fish?" She asked.
