I heard audio once of this guy, Giuliano, where he interviews all these
has-beens & hangers-on from the Beatle past. I laugh when this guy talks.
Not only because of the lies that come out of his mouth, but the muttled
English accent that does as well. Hey, Geoff, I haven't heard someone botch
a British accent that bad since Costner did in "Robin Hood: Prince of
Thieves." Did you know that Giuliano used to be Ronald McDonald? True. He
also was the Burger King in some parts of the northeastern United States.
He has since become a vegetarian & changed his name legally to a Hindu name.
In case you are wondering, his new name is Iyamah Fahginassholl.

Actually, he hasn't interviewed Francie yet.

Giuliano may be a bit eccentric, but he's written some of the best books
about the Beatles. His recent one about Lennon's final years is excellent.

Gawd, I thought I had ALL your screen names kill-filed!

The statement above proves you have no purpose here except to inflame
the group. Perhaps an enema would best suit your condition, because
my friend (and I use the term sarcastically) you are most certainly
full of it.

LOFL, John.

Yeah, GG gets the "Filthiest Snake Oil Salesman" in Beatledom.

Oh, and when I was working on my laptop I somehow saw where
Punky Danster sez GG never interviewed me. So does this mean
his claim of speaking with me in Lennon in Amerika was a lie???

Oh what a shock.

Of course when GG got my phone number from Victor Munoz in 1998, he claimed he was another person, a publisher who wanted to put Body Count on a CD... for no money up front.

The saddest thing these days imo is the black tide of liars and motherf***ers and child abusers and phony gurus that laps at the shores of Pepperland.

All four Fabs were SO much more innocent and well-mannered than these slimers would have you think.

I am so grateful that I can still see them in my mind's eye, even with the lousy depiction they get from these loser writers and all the repetition in the newsgroups and mailing lists and stuff.

I had to see for myself.

Francie, you are in a monumental state of denial....the likes of which
hasn't been seen here since the myths aboutf Ringo's drumming were debunked.

You have done more to exploit the Beatles and their memory than all the
so-called "loser writers" combined. Almost 33 years after your luggage was
chucked over the wall in St. John's Wood, you are STILL peddling your
wares....currently an overpriced CD taken from a radio show, which is easily
obtainable via download off the net. Not even original material.

Giuliano is something you will never be....a successful writer. I've lost
count of how many books he's had published by major publishing houses since
the late 1980's. All of them have been successful and he is currently
working on another.

Who published YOUR last book, Francie? I refer of course to the Body Count
reissue.

I saw this book in a bookstore (Barn and Nobles). At first I was so excitd
to
see a John book. But it contained lots of stories that cant be true.

also, the pictures in it are so strange. John and Yoko look different in
them.
Like the pictures were tamped (sp?) to make John and Yoko look bad.

I can't say anything about the book or the pix as I haven't seen it (them).
But the subject caught my attention because of the name Geoffrey Giuliano.
I always thought he's a bit of a strange, star-struck guy (apologies,
Geoffrey,
if you read this!) I mean, when you meet George Harrison, would you
talk with him about a guru of his and then publish the little chat in a
book?
Another funny thing in that same book ("The Beatles - a Celebration")
is a picture signed by Paul for "Ronald and the gang" because (as Giuliano
puts it) "before writing this book the author played Ronald McDonald for
McDonald's
television ads in Canada". Hello! It's kinda ironic considered that mr and
mrs McCartney were vegetarians.

Cheers!

Giuliano is himself a radical vegetarian animal rights activist. He now
regrets being Ronald McDonald and Paul's autograph was probably a joke. GG met
Paul in 1986.

It may be a good read, but it's not good journalism. Giuliano claims that
the book is based on a copy of Lennon's diaries given to him by Harry
Nilsson. There's no evidence Harry ever had copies of the diary. There's no
way Harry would have betrayed a friend like that if he'd had the diaries. In
the recording of Giuliano's one meeting with Harry, there's no mention of
the dairies. Bob Rosen, who has read the Lennon diaries said "I see little
bits and pieces, pretty mundane stuff, that might have come from the
diaries. The sensational things, I don't know where he got them from. I'm
assuming he made it up, because I've never seen anything like that."
(Buffalo News, May 28, 2000).

In my brief conversation with Mr. Giuliano (by email) I was frustrated
because he can't seem to understand why Nilsson's fans, friends, and family
are upset at his claim that Harry gave him a copy of Lennon's private
diaries. Frankly, the man seems to live in a different universe than the
rest of us.

This guy is a con-artist. I knew him in Jr. High and he was a whack-job then. I unfortunately got trapped into a business deal and that museum crap of his and was supporting him in Thailand via Walmart money orders for several months in 2006. He played the "my son has a heart condition please send money "we are eating dirt over here" All in all I lost about $20,000 USD with the money I sent him and trying to secure the Lockport property and fix relation with the government in Lockport. Luckily, I saw the light and turned and ran and cut my loses.

I think that's the guy who wrote a biography of Pete Townshend, who got
angry with him for apparently stealing a tape of Tommy, which the author

Posting this all these years later because of the stolen Lennon items recently recovered in Germany. Giuliano was in Atlanta in the early 80s, staying (freeloading) at a Hare Krishna house over on Piedmont Avenue. He was name dropping George Harrison's name to anyone in earshot as if they were old mates, and flashing tattered Polaroid pictures of himself with George, Paul and Yoko ( in different places and at different times) as if they were old friends just hanging out together when he had most likely ambushed them on the street to get a picture. He was blah, blahing story after story in which he claimed to be some very close confidant of all these people and was told their inner most secrets. It was disgusting and ridiculous tisten to. But that was not the worst of it. He had a few boxes with him and proceeded to trot out some items that were obviously stolen... such as cassette tapes of the recordings that became Milk and Honey, well before album came out, and some wire framed glasses that he said came from the Dakota. He also had a hat that belonged to George. It appeared to be the same one he wore in Magical Mystery Tour. Smarmy is a great adjective, and is exactly how he came off. His "books", "CDs" and "videos" are a waste of time for anyone ignorant enough to be subjected to them. Like a buzzard, he lives off the carcasses of others.
