The beautiful model & actress (from The Mod Squad & Twin Peaks) Peggy Lipton had affairs with Paul McCartney during the Beatles first two visits to the US. Paul & Peggy were photographed together, and the relationship was discussed in an article called "The Beatles' Love Lives In America."
Peggy says that, a couple of years after the second fling, McCartney called her from New York to say that he would be visiting California soon and that he wanted to spend time with her. Lipton says that she replied, "I can't see you if you're seeing other girls." She says that McCartney responded: "There's no one else, luv. No one. The thing is, well, the only person who's around is a photographer who's traveling with us. I think she likes me, but other than that, there's no one, honest."
Lipton says that "Maybe I should have wondered about that long explanation." However, she says that when he called her from the Beverly Hills Hotel one midnight a few days later, he begged her to visit. Lipton didn't get to the hotel till 4 AM -- by which time McCartney was asleep and his road managers wouldn't let her in. Lipton waited for McCartney to wake up.
She says that, when Paul emerged from his Bungalow, they looked at each other "and the heat between us was ignited again." However, a girl shortly followed him out. McCartney didn't say a word to Lipton; he and the woman ran to their limousine.
Lipton entered McCartney's room and wrote: "You made your choice" on the mirror with the girl's lipstick.
Lipton says that she later received a card from Paul, to which she did not reply. She learned later that the girl from the Bungalow was Linda Eastman.
