I beleive there are Beatle tracks in the movie - "Here comes the Sun", but
I'm not sure about original music.
I'd like to know too. Did George write/play/sing anything specifically for
this film, or is it all stuff we'd find on other albums?

The only track that George provided was the Here comes the sun at the
end which was taken from the live in japan lp, the rest of the music is
instrumental George songs but performed by pan pipes etc.

***One of the songs is an instrumental version of "This is Love" from
the "Cloud Nine" album. I didn't recognize any other songs, but then, I
was busy watching the movie and not paying particularly close attention
to the music.

The soundtrack consists of orchestral versions of Harrison compositions
intertwined with original music for the film by Steve Wood (onetime
keyboardist and musical director for Kenny Loggins) and Daniel May.
Harrison's music provides a musical theme. Five songs can be heard as
continuing melodies throughout the soundtrack: All Things Must Pass, Life
Itself, This Is Love, Give Me Love and Here Comes The Sun.

Traditional Tibetan and Indian folk instruments (tambura, veena, Uillean
pipes, flutes, trap drums etc) are used as well as buddhist chants.

I find it all most exhilarating! Certainly a nice enhancement of Harrison's
melodies. I highly recommend it.

Cheers,

If you knew the songs then the music was particularly appropriate for the
scenes. Life Itself was played over and over again but I really liked
hearing "All Things Must Pass" during the description of the tragedy that
occurred.

There is no new music from George. It's instrumental versions of some of his
songs and the live version of "Here Comes The Sun" from the live in Japan c.d. -
