Who is Eddie Klein?

I've wondered about Eddie Klein for years.

Credited on Paul and George's (and, if memory serves, John's) albums, mostly
as an engineer, I can't find anything about him.

Is he a made up character? Is there a pun in the name?

Does anyone know?

No relation of Allen Klein as far as I know! He was an Abbey Road
sound/technical engineer; then became Apple studios' technical
manager; then back to Abbey Road where he worked on several ex-Beatle
projects. Later he was hired by Paul to get involved with building
the Mill studio at Paul's home in Sussex, and became (I think) a full
time Macca employee. Don't know if he's still there.

I went to school with his son and daughter at Claverham Community College in Battle, East Sussex, UK. He is a sound engineer (going deaf now I think) and worked with Paul for a long time, most recently at his windmill studio near Winchelsea, East Sussex.

From what I can remember, he was a very knowledgeable and likeable chap, really into music (had a mini music studio at his house in Battle), had mad hair and long beard and bit his nails.

Haven't seen him for about 22/23 years now, so i'm guessing he must be around 70 (same age as my dad).

Definitely not a made up character though!
