I'm in the process of buying a dog, and I'm trying to think of a
Beatles related name. Ringo's possibly a bit too obvious, and he's not
a Winston. I'm loathe to call him Maxwell. He's just under knee height,
and a mixture of many breeds with a lot of Daschund and terrier. He's
about 3 years old and black/brown in colour. The people at the dog's
home call him Humphrey, but that's just a name they've given him.

So, any Beatles suggestions?...

How about Desmond?

I have a female spaniel named Molly.

Hey, how about Starkey? Kinda sounds like Sparky which is a common name. At
least on TV. I've never personally known a dog named Sparky.

Does he look like a Jude? There aren't many male names in Beatle songs.

Mr Mustard, for a "weiner dog" would be a great name.

Harley (also a great name but not Beatle-y, and besides I'm already using it)
;)

What about Rocky?   Mr Mustard is a bit odd as are Eggman and Walrus....
There's always Sun King and you could call him Sunny.... or Mac for either
Father McKenzie or Paul McCartney. How about this from that old movie Ringo
did for tv...Ognir (Ringo backwards of course)  Jude? hmmmmm.........Sgt
Pepper? Mr Kite? Bungalow Bill is a bit long..... You could call him Monkey
just make sure neither one of you has anything to hide. Doctor Robert
...Doc for short? How about something a bit different like Tripper?
There would be more choice if it were a girl dog.  Rita, Maggie Mae,
Eleanor... of course Rigby would work for both I suppose.. the obvious
Martha and Michelle. My folks used to have a dog called Penny.
Lucy.Prudence. And Honey Pie.
Sadie and Julia. And I think # 9 could be an asexual name but very strange.

Ok I think I need to go take my pills now....
;-)

How about "Bulldog"? Even if he isn't a bulldog, it could be rather
amusing. Imagine saying "Hey Bulldog!" everyday...

Me and the wife have debated baby names for awhile. I proposed "Abigail
Rhode" (the shortened spelling would be "Abbey" , but she panned on the
Rhode. So we have compromised, changing Rhode to Rose, after her grandma.
For a boy we have chosen Harrison, which we both liked from the start.

I'm proud to say my wife and I both agreed on "Abbey Laine" for
a name for our daughter. And what do you know, a year and a half
old and she knows all the words to "Yellow Submarine", "She
Loves You" and "All Together Now". My little Beatle prodigy!

If the dog were a bitch instead of a male,
you could call her
Yoko.
