I've always loved "Flying". It's groovy in the nicest sense of the word
- very relaxed and actually does make me think of lazily flying. Lovely
instrument sounds. I don't think the 7 minutes of mellotron noodling
adds much, but I kind of like that, too. I'm a bit of a mellotron nut;
its sound fascinates me.

I hadn't ever heard this long version until moments before
posting it here. After the mellotron noodling, I was hoping
it would take me back to the beginning of the song at
some point, and it didn't go there, so It was disappointing.

Yes. It's: "Home home on the range, where the deer and the antelope
play.

thanks. This is more interesting to me than Shirley's Accordion.

Imagine if this had been the actual release! It would be on some
people's lists along with Rev #9. But it's a good listen, one time
only. As mentioned before, I sort of wish Hey Jude had been 3 minutes
long. It would have been great if the single were 3 minutes and then,
like this one, we finally heard the long version this week!

Well, I for one think it's much more interesting than #9, for reasons
similar to Nil's.

Eric, do you remember what the name of that cassette that the
Beatles released of Hey Jude that was a little over 4
minutes long? It was discontinued and never made it to
CD. Anyhow, if you have a stand alone CD burner,
(a recording studio would work too) or a real to reel
machine, it's very easy to fade out Hey Jude where
ever you want the fade out to be.

This bootleg with the length of the song hasn't been around
long that I'm aware of. There was a longer version that
was released on a bootleg, but this is about twice as long.
Have a listen and you'll see what I mean.

Did you really listen to it? It's much longer than the other
booted version.
