I saw Ringo last night (Saturday, August 2), at the Trump Taj Mahal in
Atlantic City. Ringo wore a white shirt, blue jeans, and a grey suit coat. He
later changed from the suit coat to a vest.

I thought the show was excellent. Ringo was funny as usual, and all the
performers were in top form. If the stage was at 12:00, I sat at 2:00 about
three rows up in the stands. Other than a slightly obstructed view of Sheila
E, I had a great view of everyone.

The setlist was:

1. It Don't Come Easy (Ringo single and bonus track on "Ringo" CD)
2. Honey Don't (Ringo from "Beatles '65")
3. Memphis in Your Mind (Ringo from "Ringo Rama")
4. How Long (Paul Carrack of Ace)
5. Down Under (Colin Hay of Men at Work)
6. Isn't It Time? (John Waite of the Babys)
7. Love Bizarre (Sheila E)
8. Boys (Ringo from "Please Please Me")
9. Overkill (Colin Hay of Men at Work)
10. Act Naturally (Ringo from "Help" (English version))
11. You're Sixteen (Ringo from "Ringo")
12. Yellow Submarine (Ringo from "Revolver")
13. Here Comes the Sun (Paul, Colin, John, Mark, Sheila)
14. Never Without You (Ringo from "Ringo Rama")
15. Don't Pass Me By (Ringo from "The White Album", Ringo plays piano on first
verse)
16. No No Song (Ringo from "Goodnight Vienna")
17. Tempted (Paul Carrack of the Squeeze)
18. When I See You Smile (John Waite of Bad English)
19. Glamorous Life (Sheila E)
20. Drum Solo on snare, cymbal, and cowbell (Sheila E)
21. I Wanna Be Your Man (Ringo from "With the Beatles")
22. The Living Years (Paul Carrack of Mike and the Mechanics)
23. Missing You (John Waite)
24. Who Can It Be Now (Colin Hay of Men at Work)
25. Photograph (Ringo from "Ringo")
26. Don't Go Where the Road Don't Go (Ringo from "Time Takes Time")
27. With a Little Help From My Friends (Ringo from "Sgt. Pepper")

After "Love Bizarre" by Sheila E, Ringo joked that he only gave her one
drum lesson. Ringo forgot the first few words of "The No No Song" and started
singing "do do do do". During "Photograph", a young boy was lifted on the
stage and joined Ringo. This must have been planned, as Ringo put his arm
around the boy, security did not intervene, and the boy left the stage after
one verse.

The souvenir stand was selling several t-shirts for $35 each, teddy bears
for $20, key chains for $5, coffee mugs for $15, a program for $20, and the
"Ringo Rama" CD for $30. The rumored DVD filmed during the first night of the
tour was not yet available.

Last night at the arts center the 1st 2 sections were sold out,
the rear sections were about 2/3 full.
The lawn seating was not crowded at all.

It was a very nice show,
the audience favorite after Ringo clearly being Sheila E.

in reference to one of the other posts, they were offering some sort of free
DVD with a $30 Cd purchase.

It was a pleasant enough night.
This was the first time I dragged myself out to see Ringo. I liked the show,
but the distance between 63 year old Ringo and
"THE BEATLES" is a vast chasm.

I did admire how each of the players, including Ringo, took a back seat to the
other players performances.

That wouldn't be the free DVD that comes with the CD anyway, would it?
