I wish you could check out the meanspeed situation with the song "You
won't see me." The song speeds up..and then slows down again.

I'm sure it does--it was recorded live.

In order to figure out fairly easuly exactly how fast a song is at any
time, you can use the 12 step "method" section I have on www.meanspeed.com.

If you are REALLY interested, as I did today with the song "yesterday"
on www.meanspeed.blogspot.com I will happily do for this song--let me
know!

Thanks for the feedback,
ian

If you will post more of these, it would be nice if you could also add
the appropriate range of emotions for each song.

I tried that--but it gets repetive and I get tarred and feather 10x a
day for it---for the losers who cannot adapt to new information---
which is all I am providing.

This scale is on www.meanspeed.com and has not changed in its essence
since it was copyrighted in more descriptive for in Nov 1992:

all numbers are beats per minute:

54 and slower--[mixed slow]
55-58-melodrama
56-62-sincerity
63-69-ceremony
70-76-grace
77-78-bittersweetness
70-84-loneliness
85-89-renewal
90-97-enthusiasm
98-105-natural
105-113-lust
114-118-foreboding
119-128-victory
129 and faster-[mixed fast]

some examples of songs at the speed of foreboding, all recorded

Dude: do you really think that BPM column is on iTunes and has not
been deleted for...uh..nothing???? or because with or WITHOUT me, BPM
info is extreme power. Let's see in 2011 who's right. I discovered
this in 1988---and it takes a while to accept it---it was even for me,
and I noticed it. In fact, when I did, to me it was a discovery SO
obvious I just went to get "the book" on it---1988--no internet---nut
there was none---lexis nexis search---no one close. I wrote to the
best--I am talking about clinicians who are on the cover of (their
articles) of SCIENCE 3x a year (Russ van Gelder, for example).
Again---I am NOT pushing a system, I did not invent a thing, and I am
not selling a gadget---I'm passing on info, which some people actually
like, and will increasingly accept. There just is no stopping an
information flow once it is available--you are reading this--
therefore, you know that!

so keep throwing the sarcastic bullshit---what goes around has that
weird----freakishly compulsive---has that way of coming back around---
which you know, which is why you are a coward in regard to non-
archiving of your comments--in your gut, you know I'm right, and and
archive, even in a year, will make you look like the clown you are
making me look like now. Hope you're reveling.

I don't see the purpous of knowing the BPM. What use is this unless you
are going to do some mashup on some computer program ?

Music in a certain tempo range is considered to affect listeners certain
way. Therefore, in public places were music is played you can
subconsciously affect how people feel (put them in the right mood for
your purposes) by choosing music from a certain tempo range, for example
in shops, restaurants etc.

ask any studio engineer, any musician, any disc jockey. i have
defended myself enough in this discussion. dude, why do you think
they don't GIVE you the BPM--they have the column for it???? Because
it puts so much programming power in your hands that you will spend
more times making outrageously PERSONALLY BASED palylists for yourself
RATHER THAN blow moeny on the sxxx "music" that is coming out these
days. That the purpose.
