A nod to my Beatle friends for telling me of this.

Lennon loses girl

Julian Lennon has made peace with his stepmother, Yoko Ono, but
contentment seems to elude him in his private life. Mandrake hears
that the 46-year-old son of John Lennon has broken off his engagement
to Lucy Bayliss, the daughter of Robert Bayliss, a wealthy British
expatriate in Majorca.

May Pang, a former lover of Lennon's late father, says he quietly
separated from Miss Bayliss, 34, some time ago. The couple met in
Majorca, where the eldest son of the former Beatle lives. They had
been together for 10 years.

Lennon, who has never married, has struggled to escape from the shadow
of his father, whose distinctive voice and facial features he shares.

He was 17 when his father was assassinated outside his New York home
and he turned to music as solace, releasing his debut album Valotte in
1984, which included the single Too Late For Goodbyes. In recent
years, he has, however, become increasingly reclusive.

This story isn't new. Julian talked about it in his website about two
years ago.

Have you seen season one of Bonanza...starting in 1959? It's
really good. I used to think Ben Cartwright looked so old. The
older I get....old isn't old. Mr. Howell the 3rd is even starting
to look young. And young people: They're starting to look like
little kids...even 30 year olds. The older you get, the faster
time passes.
