My problem is I have not find any clue to where her burial site is. It would
make sense that it is in the Allerton Cemetery but they have no burial record of
her there. I would think the tourist board in Liverpool would trump it up but
then not being English, I'm not familiar with how sensitive this might be.
They'd do it here in America in a heartbeat.
Also, Julian has a web site . . . you may be able to e mail him. I
think it is www.lennon.net or something.
I've tried the find a grave.
In all my searches I also found that John has many unknown half brothers and
sisters. One sister that was adopted by a norwegian couple at birth and never
heard of again. A couple half brothers by Alf and his last wife that were born
in America and bear the Lennon name. His wife wouldn't allow John to help pay
funeral expenses for Alf so maybe she instilled in the boys the desire never to
use their claim to fame for their 5 minutes of fame.
It would be interesting to see current photos but it seems John got most of his
looks from his Mother's gene pool.
I think the Lennon - Stanley family are keeping the site secret. But I may try
your suggestions.
Thanks
btw where are john's brothers ? david&robin ? I wonder if they look
like john
> I've tried the find a grave.
Julia's death certificate may have burial information (and may not), but
if you're determined it could be worth a try:
http://www.liverpool.gov.uk/Registrars_office/Certificates/index.asp
You'd need to provide them with the names under which she may be indexed
(Stanley/Lennon/Dykins) and an approximate death date. Alternatively you
may be able to get some information by contacting the Liverpool tourism
office or the Liverpool Echo, the local newspaper.
Keep in mind that living family members may have elected to keep
unpublicized the site of Julia's grave out of respect for family privacy.
It may even be deliberately unmarked.

Only five, I think.
> One sister that was adopted by a norwegian

She emerged about five years ago. Birth name Victoria Elizabeth Lennon,
born in 1942; father was not Fred Lennon but Taffy Williams. She was
adopted by Peder Pedersen (born in Norway) and Margaret, born in
Liverpool; renamed Lillian Ingrid Margaret Pedersen.
Ingrid lived in Liverpool with her parents and was unaware of the
connection to her half-brother John until her adopted father died in
1966. She refrained from going public with the information until the
death of her adopted mother Margaret in 1998.

I think they were actually born in Brighton or thereabouts; David and
Robin. Their mother was Pauline, Fred Lennon's second wife.

I think there's a strong resemblance to Fred as well. Hunter Davies has a
photo of Fred in his 1968 book "The Beatles" that may be illustrative.

It's easy to understand why.

If you have a reference please give it. Appreciate any help.
I think of the extended families, Julia's is the most interesting. Simply
because John made her that way by his song references alone But also do her own
life and her direct impact on the Beatles.
if anyone can read this it maybe a clue
it's not easy being a troll
Thanks Saki,
That's interesting. That Julia was a real wild child. Also I saw a photo on the
web of John about 12 and Mimi Smith his Aunt and there is no doubting the family
resemblance. She looks more his mother than Julia at least in that one.
I find it interesting that there is little to no info on Julia's funeral or
burial site in all these years. Especially since her death was well before the
Fabs had any success. Maybe there just has been no interest. Like I said before,
here in the states it's a hobby for some visiting the famous' burial sites.
Such as Jimi Hendrix for example. Since his death and up to just last year he
had a very simple marker. Now his sister has had an elaborate mausoleum built
and his and his father's bodies moved to it. Unfortunately, some of the sites
are vandalized by fans too. Jim Morrison's has to be the best example.
I visited Julia's grave in mid-'97.
You're correct: it's in Allerton cemetry, not St Peters church (where
Eleanor Rigby lies). St Peters is just across the road from the hall
where John & Paul met, and is tiny compared to the vastness of
Allerton. (As an aside, the resident vicar at St Peters invited me
*into* the hall across the road.......up on the stage I found a piano
in the wings and had a play.....what a lark!!!)
So, how do you find Julia's grave? When you visit Liverpool, you'll be
hard pressed not to find a little yellow tourist book called 'The
Beatles Liverpool'. It was first published in 1984 by a local guy -
whose name I've forgotten - and it's a brilliant resource.
In it he gives the section and number of Julia's plot. Although the
grave is unmarked, it's quite easy to find once you have this
information.
When I was there I noticed a number of momentos on the
grave.......possibly left by other fans or by family??
Cheers,
Jason
I read somewhere that John sometimes thought about her and wanted to
meet her but never did.
John's father did remarry a girl much much younger than he was and had
2 sons. I believe their names are Henry and David (but I could be wrong)
WOW! Thanks for the detailed info.

Gee whiz. I didn't know the cover was yellow
(not sure if this is your incomplete memory
you say you don't even know the author's name)
but if it's the same book I'm thinking of, it is indeed a brilliant
resource, especially on the activities and songs of the first six
months of Apple Records (Apple Corps Ltd). There are several photos of
yours truly and several of my fave quotes about HJ, not to mention and
excellent bunch of photo captions describing the infamous Last Official
Beatles Photo Shoot I set up (Supervisors/Helpers: Jeremy Banks and
Derek Taylor) that came to be known as Mad Day Out!
Frannie or Schwartz
(Paul's nicknames for me in his note of April 9, 1968, now in the
possession of Jann S. Wenner)
I think Paul had one other nickname for you. What was it again?

No, not the same book. Being called "The Beatles' *Liverpool*", it
only documents events up to about '63.
Now I'm home I can tell you more about the book.......
The author is Ron Jones. The edition I have was published in 1991.
Go here to get some scans of its contents (including info on Julia's
grave):

You helped set up the Mad Day Out shots? Well done, it's an excellent
collection. You're rightfully proud to have had something to do with
it.
Let me know once you've remembered the name/author of the book.

My tribute to Marek and John Weber, my two dead pals (recently) is a

Do you have any idea how racist and repugnant your crude and

You fucked over John Weber (well archived, in his own words), and from
what I've read of Marek, the world is better off without him. Easier to
revise history when ppl are dead, eh?
BTW, I doubt very much you're "free". You're probably quite expensive.
What was the rate in '68? Sir Mc must thank his lucky stars every day
for kicking your screeching harpy ass to the curb; that is, if he can
remember your name.
Enjoy what time is left, my little Shrewish Princess.

Uh huh. Since you're soooo much older than I am, I'd say you're the one
watching the clock, asswipe... statistically, I'm gonna outlive you by
oh, maybe 20 years, so dance, clown, dance. LOFL.
It shows a true lack of character or caring.
Now why would a tourist book about Liverpool cover the activities of
"the first six months of Apple Records" and the "Last Official Beatles
Photo Shoot" (which it wasn't - that was later at Tittenhurst. Ask your
close personal friend Yoko. She was there.)"that came to be known as
Mad Day Out" since both those activities took place in London, not
Liverpool?
Nice try though. I'm sure you fooled some of those third generation
fans you complain about.
