The obituary for Sheila Bromberg mentions that she was paid 9 pounds for her three hours of work on "She's Leaving Home."
She accepted the gig -- but the article notes she had two kids to take care of.
Was the pay reasonable for such a gig at the time? Did the Beatles pay their session players well? (McCartney is alleged to have been exceedingly stingy in paying his later Wings cohorts.)
