There are so many radiohead songs relating to chemistry (in one stupid
way or another). Try the song "Nice Dream." This can relate to
chemistry in the fact that the amounts of serotonin and ephedrines in
the brain affect the person's conception of thought during REM sleep.
Or, the song "Airbag" which relates to a mixture of nitrogen that is
released by a reaction starting from impact upon the front end of a
vehicle. The song Banana Co. relates to chemistry in the vast amount of
potassium and carbohydrates found in bananas. The song "Fake Plastic
Trees" is the perfect one, though. The hydrocarbonic value of plastic
of which the singer speaks may be analyzed through the context of the
lyric.

Need more help? anytime...

Of all the stupid school projects I've ever heard of, I believe this one
takes the cake. Anyway, there is that weezer song "only in dreams".
IIRC, he says something about floating between molecules of oxygen and
carbon dioxide. Hope that helps.

Well, Chemical World seems relatively obvious (Blur).

Or Mace. Or Suede "Animal Nitrate" (then you can explain to your teacher how
there's a song about poppers....)

one question. I am not trying to be an arsehole or anything, but are you in
primary school? Chemical related songs?????? i know, why dont you do a
project on cartoons based on the colour blue. Maybe a project on TV
presenters with the names of minerals in their last names?

Ask your mom about the song that goes through the entire (as it was
then) Periodic Table - I can't remember what it's called. Don't let it
seduce into doing chemistry at university. Learn from my mistake -
jeeze PhD and still unkissed.

Love is like Oxygen
Chemistry Class- Elvis Costello - Armed Forces

Heres what you do, go to a site such as www.cdnow.com and use their search
engine, then start putting the periodic table through it.

You can try the same at a lyrics site such as www.lyrics.ch/search.html, and
you can search for the words in teh lyrics as well as the title if you wish,
and have lyrics handy for your report.

Good Luck

That song is by Tom Lehre. It doesn't really have a name. And don't
worry, I only know this because my A level chemistry teacher made sure I
knew about it. Mr Sanderson would be proud of me today :)

How about Polythene Pam?

Terri pulled Charles closer. She teased him by starting to kiss him, but
drawing back just before their lips touched. Finally she decided to get down to
buisness. As she kissed him, she drew in a breath. "What smells like dead
fish?" She asked.

The song, you're thinking of Matthew, is by Tom Lehrer. It's on one of his
live albums. Beyond that, I'm afraid that my memory fails me.

many as we know of know.

what does this have to do with the beatles?

if you think about it everything boils down to electrons etc.
so therefore everything is chemistry.in a weird sort of way.
