???
The distance of our lives keep spreading,
The pounding ???????? not listening,
The voice from far away is screaming its,
Over, Over
JAVA
Sure.
The Killing Words:
Wait for me I'll understand
I just need time to comprehend your changes
There's always been these changes in you
I remember that there was a time when
Fears we had we left behind and we danced
But it seems the more we learn
We learn that it's
Over, Over
It's dangerous this game we play
You're killing me with words
Forget if you can
The way you moved when our hands touched
You forced me to force you
Do you remember the dreams, the nightmares
we shared?
The poison of love so pure it's deceiving
And deceit is all we have it's got to be over
Over, Over
It's dangerous this game we play
You're killing me with words
Over, Over
Too late to take a chance again it's over

"Every time I think I've won, I hear your voice inside....QUESTIONING!"
The pounding I hear IN my heart...I'm not listening

This is the way I hear it!
Now the wireless in hand is ringing
The distance of our lives keep spreading
The pounding I hear my heart... I'm not listening
Your voice from far away is screaming...It's OVER, OVER
I'm sure I'll be corrected by someone, but that's the way I hear it!!!
Jonathan
Now taking bids on the next 6-digit plan........
SORRY, I guess You already have these...oops. I'm not sure what the
"missing lyrics" are.
Sorry I couldn't help,
I think it's something like:
"Now the voices in my head keep singing
The distance of our lives keep spreading
The pounding of human hearts, I'm not listening
The voice from far away is screaming:
It's over...."
I could be badly mistaken though...it's just what I sing along.
Flar.

'Beauty slept and angels wept for her immortal soul
In this repose all evil chose to claim her for their very own'
Cradle Of Filth: Funeral in Carpathia.
Right after this line Geoff makes a really sad sound.
Is it just a groan? Or, is he saying "off" as in
you forced me to force you off...?
Just wondering,
Ed
This was the funniest post I've seen in ages. Thanks for the laughs...

We need a FAQ for this one, that's pretty much it though.
I think it's "I am not listening" according to what Geoff said
a while back but I've gone back and forth with Mike Z and it has
very little effect on phrasing and none on meaning;-)
> I'm sure I'll be corrected by someone, but that's the way I hear it!!!
... and so much easier to hear in the live accoustic versions than
on the album, I had something like "the walrus in the band"
I'm pretty sure it goes like this:
"Now the wireless in my hand is ringing
the distance of our lives keeps spreading
The pounding...I hear my heart, I'm not listening
Your voice from far away is screaming 'It's over!'"
The third line is the one that seems to give people the most trouble.
This is the way I hear it and it seems to make sense to me. He hears his heart
pounding, but he doesn't listen to its "message"

I was thinking...isn't the first line:
Now the wireless in hand ISN'T ringing
It just seems to fit in to the context better.

Robin (LADIE...@aol.com) asked me if I had a copy of
the Hollywood Online interview in which Geoff says what
the lyrics are at the end of "The Killing Words." Here, in
his own word from the interview on AOL on May 20, 1995 -
TateGeoff: And now the wireless in my hand keeps ringing.
TateGeoff: The distance of our lives keeps spreading.
TateGeoff: The pounding, I hear my heart, I am not listening.
TateGeoff: Your voice from far away keeps screaming "it's over".
