Huh? And you call yourself a "fan"? The lyrics go "When I got home/Mom and
Dad were sitting on Tim Couch/Rock and rollin', kissing him, throwing his
Cleveland Browns records out."

We should all know that "kissfannumber1" is a troll by now, but Cheap
Trick did actually "diss" KISS in an interview once.
I have an interview on video where they ask them why they did the "Got my
KISS records out" line, and Rick says something to the effect of "we just
wanted to name the lamest, cheesist band we could think of at the time."
But I think they actually like KISS, (as their performance at the DRC
Party/show).

Rick Nielsen also said this at the Q&A session after the San Francisco show for
the first album last year (early this year?).

Rick also let it be known that he was joking after he said it; Kiss helped get
Cheap Trick with their demo's in the middle 70s and got some big people to take
notice of their talents. Rick also says this as well!
Actually, I prefer club shows to big arena shows which are more often
than not pretty boring. Besides, Cheap Trick have no reason to be
pissed, they are still releasing GREAT albums and touring on a regular
basis. I think that is what bands are supposed to do, but if people
would rather buy N*Suck discs, that's fine, I'll take Cheap Trick
(with the exception of Tom Waits) over any other artist out there.

Actually, according to Guitars Of The Stars--Rick Nielsen, that
particular guitar is a Greco "Rick Nielsen model" and not an actual
Ibanez Iceman. It might be interesting to note that the same book,
which features photographs of Rick's guitar collection, also has a
photo of a Kramer axe bass, which was given to Rick by Gene Simmons.
To quote the book:
"This was given to me by Gene Simmons from Kiss--Kiss gave Cheap Trick
a big break by taking us out on tour in 1977--Thanks guys!"
