For the record, the terrorist wasn't an American.

Regardless of where he's from or where his parents are from, he's a
coward and it's a shame he survived. It's especially troubling if he
did this because he didn't want to get deployed. What a sad, sad

The more reliable info we learn about the guy, the more I think this
one's on the Army. They should have removed him from service long ago.

How can you flat out claim that all Muslim soldiers are the enemy and
then say "not necessarily"?

Christians are terrorists too. Guess we better toss them out of the

As with any other situation involving thousands of people,
there is no single/simple answer. This guy drew enough
attention tho, that something should have been done. It's
been said here before that not all muslims are terrorists,
but most terrorists are certainly muslim. Indeed christians

Yes, I believe Michael Weiner -- or Savage, if you prefer -- likes to
regurgitate that one quite frequently. Of course, I have yet to see
him back it up.

Days before 9/11, in Northern Ireland, a bomb was set off near a
Catholic girl's school. That's one event out of many. Are most
terrorists certainly Protestant?

When the IRA commits acts of violence, does that mean most terrorists
are certainly Catholic?

When someone like Baruch Goldstein kills 29 Muslims and wounds another
150 or so, does that mean most terrorists are certainly Jewish?

And then there's the murky way people define just what a terrorist is.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the threat of fundie Islamics. I just
don't agree with using a broad brush. Until someone can provide
factual evidence that "most terrorists are Muslim", I call bullshit.

> Indeed christians kill too, but it's usually over money or pussy..   :o)

Or over self-righteous zealotry concerning the unborn. Army of God.
Lambs of Christ. Eric Rudolph.

Or race and religion. Ku Klux Klan. The Christian Identity movement.

Or sexual orientation. The Reconstructionist movement.

And so on...

Every country has its own unique problems. Let me narrow that
'broad brush' by speaking of the USA.

I do not know of any group wishing to take down the United
States other than the muslims. I don't know of any KKK group,
Christian group, Protestants, Reconstructionist, skinhead, IRA,
or Catholic group.

And people like Eric Rudolph have a personal agenda, not the
same as a worldwide call to arms against us. Timothy McVeigh
was on a solo mission (yes, I'm aware there were one to maybe
a few others involved). Same with those that would murder
abortion doctors.

Even groups outside the US are not out to kill off a whole society.
The IRA is a political group of a handful of people who do not
intentionally look to wipe out all non believing women and children.
So, as a general rule, only the muslims are willing to strap a bomb
to their women, in order to kill other men, women and children.

No other group makes slaves of their women, refuses to educate
their children, dictates every facet of life to their followers, the way
muslims do. Who else on this earth would have you killed for
drinking a beer and listening to rock n' roll? What other group
would have you put to death for publicly saying that you do not
believe in God? Therefore, the way I see it, your life is not in
danger from any Christians, Protestants, Jews, Catholics, or
abortion fanatics. Michael Savage nor Eric Rudolph are likely to
inspire enough worldwide hate to set off a dirty bomb or wipe
us out as a whole. Only the radical muslims fall into these categories.

As a short add-on, I don't care about the 'label'.
The word 'terrorist' is just the catch-all phrase of the day.
We could just as easily call almost everyone in
the world either "good people" or "bad people".

Most people in the world are 'good people'. They can
argue in newsgroups, break an occasion drug or traffic
law, and remain good people.

Those that abuse laws, punch their wife and kids, shit
on humanity, they're usually bad people, as are those
that want to force their ideology, politics, religion etc
on others, they are 'bad people'.

Those that would kill, and even kill millions if necessary
to do so -- those are fucking EVIL people. Evil people
exist. They may not consider theirselves evil - after all,
they're following their "religion" (muslims) or doing it for
what they think is the greater good/ideology (Mao, Hitler)
or for personal gain/power (Saddam, even Bernie Madoff)

doesn't matter their reason or perspective..
I want to see all evil people wiped out. At any cost.

WHOOSH! Right over your head, Killer. It's one thing to use youtube to

Doesn't work that way. Youtube is entertainment, nothing more. It's

arguing the source, and missed the point.

And for being a "cesspool NG" you spend a lot of time in it, Killer.

I would argue that any group that uses terrorism -- no matter the
scale --in an attempt to force its idealogy on others, is aiming to
take down the U.S. in one way or another. They may not be doing it by
flying planes into buildings, but they all try to use fear in an
attempt to get us to give in.

Again, I suppose, we reach the question of how one defines terrorism.

OK. I threw Rudolph in there because of his association with a
Christian group who shared his idealogy-- in other words, he was a
Christian who killed, and not because of money or pussy. Going to "a
worldwide call to arms against us" is switching the topic.

I don't disagree that there are those that wish to take us down.
Again, though, does that include all muslims?

That would be incorrect. The Tamil Tigers were quite infamous for

And how likely do you think it is that being wiped out as a whole is
going to happen?

Frankly, I'm more worried about being injured/killed by the angry
fucktard with no job and nothing to lose who's been listening to
Savage's drivel all day and has decided he's had it than I am by a
radical muslim.

Anyway...I'm still waiting for someone to show me some proof that most

Whether it's actually true or not, we are led to believe they are. In
my opinion most people clump all Muslims in one group not knowing that
there are different sects of their religion, and yes some of their
sects teach and practice Jihad or have greatly mistaken the meaning of
Jihad to the extremes and twisted it to justify their agenda. Then
there's the peaceful loving sects that wouldn't harm anyone and
believe it's against their religion to kill anyone. It all comes down
to fear and who's who and who can you trust. The attacks and the
never ending threats does nothing for any of the Muslim communities or
ever shows them in a positive light. Plus the ratings would go down
if any of the media outlets did a documentary on a boring peace loving
Muslim sect that minds their own business and leaves everyone alone.
Below are some links with some truth and a lot of propaganda. As for
me personally and what I think, we've been fighting Muslims since the
beginning of time and I highly doubt it will ever stop.

All other groups are miniscule in comparison. Anti-abortion activists
or skinheads are a blip on the map. They do not compare in numbers,
intensity, funding, etc.

No, a majority of all people wish to live peacefully, including muslims
as well I would think.

Rushdie and the cartoonists who drew Muhommed got a death
sentence, worldwide. Muslims are worldwide, and they plot from
foreign lands to attack us. It is indeed a worldwide problem at
this point. Spain to the Phillipines, England to Syria.. can you
name any other war/conflict/skirmish that carries so 'wide'?

> I don't disagree that there are those that wish to take us down.
> Again, though, does that include all muslims?

Absolutely not. I have no desire to wipe out an entire population,
but I'd go to further extremes to root out the radicals. And one
Iranian leader (in my opinion) is far more dangerous than Osama
and a hundred followers hiding out in some cave.

And doubtfully with the frequency or the randomness of what we
see in the middle east. Doesn't matter tho, I don't think the TTs
had world domination as their goal. And for the radicals, that's
what it is all about. Be muslim, or be dead.

It's woven into the fabric. It's part of what they are, what they would
do, how they would have us all live.

Overstatement.. BUT -- If Iran sends a nuke at Israel, which they plainly
and repeatedly have shown they would like to do, it's on. There is
world chaos. The airplanes of 9/11 rocked markets worldwide, changed
our world. If a nuke goes off in the middle east (and it won't be just one)
this planet is immediately changed forever. I'm not saying 'wiped out as
a whole' is gonna kill every man woman and child, but it WILL affect
every man woman and child.. count on that. N Korea and Iran should
be denied the nukes at any cost. Immediately.

I'm not worried about either at this point. A more distant forecast may
be different. I'm much more likely to be ran over by a drunk than killed
by a muslim terrorist.. but that may not be true in a couple years.

> Anyway...I'm still waiting for someone to show me some proof that most

The news outlets cannot wait for the next tragedy, cameras at the ready
worldwide.. a bombing in Bali, a train in Spain or Japan. The stories I
see mention the word 'muslim' or 'islamic' in probably 90% of those stories.
There are certainly clans clashing worldwide, human rights being abused
everywhere, but none of it as far reaching, or more threatening to us here.

Ok, here's the site I posted yesterday:

http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/

If you scroll to the bottom of the page, there's a comprehensive list
of terrorist acts by muslims by date. Oddly enough, one happens every
day, and in most cases there are multiple acts on each day.

Of course this doesn't prove that most terrorists are muslims, perhaps
it's two or three people doing the same suicide bombings each day...

I guess that means you're not most viewers.

Let's take a recent example. The Daily Show - a fucking comedy show -
busted Hannity for splicing footage from Beck's 9/12 rally into
footage of Bachmann's "rally" or whatever it was, in a lame attempt to
make it appear as if there were more people gathered then there
actually were. No other news source did as far as I know, which shows
just how pathetic a state journalism is in these days.

How many loyal Fox viewers questioned that video splicing, even though
it was unbelievably obvious that the footage was from different times
of the year? And this is just one example of Fox's "news". Yeah, yeah,
I know someone out there is going to say that Hannity is just an
"entertainer", but you know what? People are still going to this guy,
and Beck, and whoever else to get what they think is accurate
information. And they're not getting it.

Back to the point: you can try to argue that I'm attacking the medium
you use, but we both know that's bullshit. I'm attacking the doctored,
biased, edited and/or manipulated *videos* you use.

And I'm laughing at you for having to rely on those videos instead of
being able to post a reasonable and factual argument.

was it done on purpose? Probably, tho probably not

I'd say that's a little bit different.

And as I also said, many people rely on him, Beck and the other
opinion shows for what they think of as news and or "important
information they're not getting anywhere else", so they sadly hold a
great deal of power.

Part of the blame falls on the ignorant people who watch, but Hannity,
O'Reilly, Beck, etc. also know what they're doing.

And yes, you can make the same argument for anyone who watched
Olbermann or Maddow and thinks of it as news.

Sorry, but you have to do a lot more than type some words in a Kiss
newsgroup for me to work up that much emotion. And even then, odds are
the person isn't worth the toll the emotion takes.

I can tell you're full of a lot of hate, though. Your constant de-
humanizing of anyone that doesn't fit into your exquisitely limited
view of what's acceptable proves it. Liberal this, Latino that. Sad
way to live, dude.

Perhaps I misread the intention of your post, but I didn't understand
why you included links to stuff that just repeated the "all muslims
are terrorists" BS. Seemed like an endorsement to me. If I misread it,
then I apologize.

As for the Obama/Gene comparison - you could easily include Bush in
Obama's place. Spending sure wasn't curbed under his watch.

And if McCain were president *shudder* the same thing would be
happening. Except we'd probably be spending even more because he's
have started two more wars at least by now. :-)

Are you referring to the John Stossel thing? All I did was point out
that he has a well known bias and has distorted facts when you tried
to make it sound as if, just because his piece aired on 20/20 and/or a

If you look at my posting history, I think you'll find that I have no
problem engaging just about anyone here in a discussion
about...whatever. Unlike others, I don't "plonk" most people or decide
I'm going to ignore them for a month in some attempt to...well, I
guess have less people to deal with.

I do ignore people like "Carl", because there's no point to it. Anyone
who gets a hard on because he thinks he "pwned" someone on the
internet isn't worth the time. "Carl" needs to go back to sock puppet
school.

And when you make a thread that has a link to a YouTube video made
from a clearly biased source, then say something like "Something
liberals won't get and mock" -- what do you expect?

Well, let's see. Economists agree that the stimulus package is working
(though it should have been bigger) and is pretty much the only thing
holding the economy together right now. Health care reform is moving
forward. He has eased anti-American sentiment across the world. He was
decisive about the pirate incident (contrary to all the "fretting"
that he would give into whoever dared challenge him). He just signed
the hate crimes bill.

Now come the Obamabot comments...no, he's not perfect and he's made
some mistakes. Earmarks, bad vetting. Gitmo is still open. He may make
another mistake if he decides to send more troops into Afghanistan.
I'd like to see less media saturation. I also think he needs to
shitcan the attempts at bipartisanship, as it's pretty clear that what
passes for the Republican party these days has no interest in it
whatsoever.

Graduate of Columbia and Harvard, a constitutional law professor, 3
term Illinois senator, then on to U.S. senator -- like him or not, I
don't think you can realistically say that he "never did anything".

And you voted for a ticket that included Palin, who is the epitome of
someone being built up and coached - and not very well, given the
results. Quit on her state so she could "write" a book and make money
(as if she could actually write a book). Corrupt, uncurious, lying and
vindictive. Clueless about the world. And hey, she recently "palled"
around with a bunch of communists. LOL!

He probably didn't splice the footage himself, but he's well aware of

Did the media splice footage of another event in with the million man

I'd say that's a little bit different.

Media all too often bulk up numbers to suit their agenda.
Whether stated in print, or splicing video, it's the same thing.

***********************
I don't see Hannity as holding much power. Same for O'Reilly Olbermann
and Maddow. For someone that puts out about 20 hours of tv and radio
a week, this is trivial on all accounts. Olbermann has told outright lies,
but
who really cares? After all, if you're watching Hannity as a conservative,
your
mind is already set.. same as watching Olbermann as a liberal. Those of
opposing views are merely watching for mistakes or to nitpick. And
that would include Jon Stewart, who has himself, stretched the truth many
times to fit his own agenda. MANY times.. and are not he and Hannity in
the exact same position?

Kudos to him on the pirate decision.. but the hate crimes thing
is the biggest load of bullshit ever concocted. A murder is a murder.
That in itself denotes hate. Murder because the victim is black or
gay is no different than murdering someone for revenge, or personal
gain. Just more laws put out there to make some politician able to
say he's done something. The penalty should be the same for a
crime regardless of motive.

Minority leader Bohner recently made the statement that he has
indeed spoken with Nancy Pelosi on a few occasions. He said he
is not aware of a single republican being approached for any
bipartisan effort on health care. This push is ALL democrat, and
the GOP has been asked for nothing other than their votes.

He is one of the intellectual elite. He's never ran anything, never
sponsored any sort of worthwhile legislation, never met a payroll.
While in the senate he basically voted 'here', and shown to be
the most liberal senator DC.

He is acting in office, like a rockstar. He will go down in history
as one of the worst presidents in history. I'm not blaming him for
the economy past, but he is destroying the economy future. I
don't blame him in any way for Afghanistan or Iraq, but he is
ignoring the very general he bragged so much over. I certainly
don't blame him for the health care debacle, but he is making
it worse with the legislation he is endorsing. Unless there is
some drastic change in our economy, he will go from one of
the highest ratings ever, to one of the lowest. Even the left
leaning press are admitting as much with the huge swing in
NJ and VA elections recently.

Moonpie and Killer like to say you and I "hate" them because in
reality they "hate" us. They can only go by what they feel. They are
incapable of thinking outside their mindset. If they don't agree with
you or you insult them, they hate you. That's how narrow minded they
are.

There's nothing anyone in this ng, or anyone online for that matter,
that would make me feel hate, or any kind of negative emotion towards
them. The only emotion anyone online can get out of me is happiness,
as in laughter.

Yep, it's sad that Killer lives this hate filled life. You can tell,
even without reading his troll posts, that he's full of hate and
anger. You can tell he hates himself. He's a lost cause, stuck in his
ways. He will never change, because he doesn't have the mental
strength or capacity to do so. Thankfully, he's living in small town
and has no real voice so he can't spread his hate to others. I feel

AJ's "I'm better than you" bit is all a ruse to mask what's really
going on. He doesn't feel good about himself, therefore he must go out
of his way to tell strangers he communicates with online that he's all
that. It's a classic case of low self esteem. I sniffed that out years

It's one thing to not like, or be happy with Obama, but to also
champion someone like Sarah Palin is laughable, even to most "non
liberals". AJ has shown a thousand times over he knows nothing about
politics. He only votes for a particular party, unless of course, the

Are you and Jefe saying hate doesn't exist in everyone?

You see a news story of some ol' lady getting beaten and
raped, and it doesn't bring out some sort of hate in you?

You see Daniel Pearl beheaded, and remain unaffected?

A released child molestor rapes and kills a 7 year old
and it doesn't bring you to a rage?

What is the question here? the 'meaning' of hate?
Whether people have it or not? I don't even understand
what the debate/arguement is... everyone hates someone,
and something. To say otherwise is simply denial.

of us who are willing to listen and learn wait for those who are
stranded on the side of the road refusing assistance? Those who want
to further themselves will do so and those who don't will stay behind.
Don't mean to sound overtly harsh, but society has gone on long enough
catering to those who are ignorant.

Please post any accomplishments, sponsored/proposed legislation,
bills, or personal causes for those ten years. Google is a great resource
and should return millions of hits. Seriously.... ten years in public
service
is a long time, he should have quite an extensive record. I'd like to see

Being appalled, offended, upset, or disgusted by one's actions is
completely different than hating. Hating someone or something takes it
to a whole other level than just simply not liking someone or
something.

When I see the things you described on the news or wherever, while I'm
disgusted, appalled, or otherwise offended by them, it doesn't fuel
hate within me. Hate is not disliking someone or something--it deeper
than that--and again it's not normal human emotion. Don't get me
wrong, I'm not a flower child, rainbow loving, throwback from the 60s
or what not--my belief is that those who hate are wasting their time
on, well, hating rather than making this world a better place.

If there's someone or something out there that cause you to feel
angry, saddened, appalled, offended, etc do something about it. Make a
difference instead of sitting back and being filled with hate.

Um - look around. There are people calling out Fox all the time. Not
here in RMAK, of course, because "Fox is the most watched news". The
masses have spoken, and they *must* be right!

Oh, come on. You yourself just said if you're watching a show like
Hannity you mind is already set. They know watchers want to see large
numbers of people at these events so that they can have the illusion
that the masses are rising up against Obama, that they're right, etc.

Why is this being made into an Obama thing? I believe you've said it
yourself: ALL politicians lie. Do we need to be reminded of all the
times Bush lied? Cheney? McCain? Palin? This isn't about politicians,
it's about news sources -- or opinion shows that try to pass
themselves off as news sources -- distorting facts. We should expect
better from those that would fancy themselves journalists, or try to
blur the line between opinion and fact.

As far as making an issue - I used one very recent example of Fox's
deception in order to make a point about another subject. I made note
of it, as many others, because Hannity felt a need to apologize -
which for him, is unheard of. You're the one who jumped to Hannity's
defense (of which there really is none, but have it your way) and
fired on Obama. If anyone is making an issue, it's you. I'm really not
that worked up over it.

Hannity is supposedly one of the most influential conservatives in the
country right now. Same as O'Reilly. I don't know how Beck is thought
of in conservative circles, but he seems to share the same audience as
the aforementioned and his ratings and book sales have been quite
high.

Yeah, I think they have some power.

I have nothing to add here. I'm not trying to rise to the defense of
Olbermann. I've never claimed he has the monopoly on truth. And if he
doctors a video, I hope he gets called on it as well.

Jon Stewart hosts a *comedy* show. When The Daily Show is billed as or
attempts to pass itself off as a news source, you might have a point.

Under what I see as hate, no. Now, that doesn't mean that I don't
dislike people or things? Of course not. For example, I despise child
molesters. I would go as far to say they should be given the death
penalty. That may qualify as hate to you, but I see it as having a
strong emotion (in this case bad) towards child molesters.

I look at hate as a tool for evil, if you will (not trying to get
religious here). I think hate is used to further things that evil
people promote. Example, Hitler used his hatred of Jews to kill
millions of them. Some people use the word "hate" loosely, so they may
use it to express their dislike for something (example: I hate the
Dallas Cowboys). The hate I'm talking about is the true sense of the
word.

I proudly admit with no shame I fucking hate anyone that tries to kill
innocent Americans in a terrorist attack. I also unapologetically
admit I fucking hate those that hate us and those that are more than
willing to kill themselves to kill as many of us to show just how much
they hate us. And I'm the monster? In this NG, it doesn't surprise
me. But hey, I get flamed when I say the sky is blue. ;-)

Again, I think you misunderstood.. if they were doctoring some
sort of relevant footage, do you think that it would have been
so poorly done, or not done and caught much more than this
instance?

***************
Certainly not.. it IS all politicians, but what good does it do me
to bitch about any past situation? I think Bush should have
taken a few different directions, but Obama is doing shit to an
extreme -- things that will drastically affect us. The only significant
event of the Bush era was 9/11 and Iraq/Afghanistan. While
two wars is HUGE, I don't know of anyone who faults us for
Afghanistan. Iraq is debatable tho I was all for killin' Saddam and
sons, but I would never have invaded the country to do so.
Obama is running up debt that will extend far beyond the years
we've now been in these 'wars'..

This isn't about politicians,
it's about news sources -- or opinion shows that try to pass
themselves off as news sources -- distorting facts. We should expect
better from those that would fancy themselves journalists, or try to

******************
Again, Hannity is opinion, and a single (and acknowleged) incident
is wrong, but trivial in the grand scheme of politics. It was spliced
footage of an otherwise unknown rally. It influenced no one to do
anything. If you want true lies, look at the gov'ts jobless claims and
how many jobs they claim they have 'saved' or created. That is a
true lie, coming straight from our government.
******************

I'm not rushing to defend him, I just said it was minor league stuff.
I like Hannity overall, but he can be, and often is, an exteme ass.

It's been said here a few times that NO ONE should follow
someone else blindly. There are always gonna be those
people tho, no question about it. Hannity will not sway your
vote as a liberal or independent, nor will he sway mine as
a conservative.
****************

**************
A recent web article I saw stated that most young people pick up
most of what they know politically from Jon Stewart. Sad that, but
that is as close as most young people get to real politics. This is
not the same article, but should you read it, you'll get the point.

I would consider wishing the death penalty on someone
as hating that group of people. Semantics maybe, but
definitions vary. I hate child molestors, I hate the radicals
that cut off Pearls' head. I hate that my gov't is lying to me
daily. I hate the prez of Iran, and N Korea too... they are
torturing and imprisoning their own people. Dislike is too
kind of a word to describe these things. I would like to see
them dead. That IS hate. I do NOT hate Obama as an
individual, I dislike him.
