HTH DID DOUBLE FOR KISS IN THE CONCERT SCENE OF DRC BUT AFTER EDITING THERE WAS
ONLY 2 SECONDS OF MCCLUSKY AS ACE IN THE SMOKIN GTR. SCENE.......BUT I'M SURE
THAT WOULD BE ANY KISS FANS DREAM AND I KNOW IT WAS SCOTTS. ANYONE WHO DOUBTS
MY CLAIM .......GO RENT THE HOME VIDEO WHEN IT COMES OUT, SAVE YOUR SILLY
REMARKS!!!! METAL EDGE PURPOSELY PRINTED THE WORD STAND-IN WHEN IN FACT ON THE
DRC CALL SHEET FOR THE SHOOT HTH WAS LISTED AS KISS' DOUBLES AND ONLY CREDITED
IN THE MOVIE W/ SPECIAL THANKS(OBVIOUSLY TO KEEP PPL UNAWARE OF THE REASON THEY
WERE THERE AND NOT TO DISSAPPIONT FANS)HOWEVER YOU CAN NEVER HIDE ANYTHING FROM
KISS FANS....LOL

Proof 195

YOu wanted to know who Scott McClusky was, he is the "Ace" in the trib
band Hotter than Hell!!! From what I understand, the tribute band
was there ONLY to set up the shots, or whatever the proper term.

THere is a picture of scott standing next to the REAL Ace both in makeup
and costume in hotter than hell's website. I am sorry, but I saw the
movie twice and that was NOT McClusky in that shot with the burning
guitar. Being an ace fan for 22 years, I can SURELY tell between a
FAKE and the real thing. SORYY, It WAS ACE throughout THE ENTIRE
CONCERT SCENE AND NOT MCCLUSKY no matter what any knucklehead says.

Sorry scott

At least I am willing to admit I was wrong. Too bad the movie people
were too cheap to have Ace, the real one for the ENTIRE concerrt scene.
NO offense!!!

NOthing against my buddy Scott McCLusky but this fact gives me MORE of a
reason NOT to buy the video.

IT has nothing to do with Scott. I am not mad at Scott, I must
emphasize that. IT was not his decision, it was most likely the
decision ( for him to double in that body shot with the smoking guitar
for that 2 seconds) of the producers and director, and THAT is where my
anger is directed.

The movie sucked anyway, so I was not going to buy the video anyway.

I am sure it came down to being an editing decision. There may not
have been any smooth transitions for what they were doing with Ace that they
could make work at that point in editing. I am sure they would have used
only actual Ace footage if they would have had it. I remember Adam Rifkin
saying that after that day was done he realized there were a few shots he
forgot to get. I don't think it is something to get all that upset over, yet
I imagine you have your reasons which are valid enough. I just don't think
anyone was particularly trying to rip us off in any way.

Acording to the *workprint* (P-74502) this scene does not occur. After
the smoking Ace shot, the screen shows the audience then returns to
Paul. The screen then shows Gene, then there is a blury shot that is
trying to focus on Gene. At no point in time is there a scene as you
described (boot on monitor) Im not saying it didnt happen, however it is
not on the workprint.

Well, the image of Ace holding the smoking guitar is , IMO at least,
one of the most distinct images in KISSTORY, right up there with Gene's
blood spitting and Paul's breaking the guitar!!!! I feel ripped off
when GEne says in SEVERAL interviews that the whole band is in the
concert scene and now we find out that it is NOT exactly true. Even for
the two seconds!!! If I wanted to see a "fake Ace" hold the burning
guitar, I will go see a TRIBUTE BAND. I plunk down my money to see this
movie and I EXPECT the REAL ACE in the ENTIRE CONCERT SCENE, NOT in the
majority of the concert scene EXCEPT for two seconds when the double is
in there with the smoking guitar no less. Sorry if i offend any one
here, but I feel ripped off!!!!!! The video tape of DRC will NOT go
into my collection. ( not ONLY because of this fact but the film just
plained sucked as a film even though it is a great KISS vehicle. )

This is true, however it would seem odd that the editors would change
the scene for a mere 2 seconds or to purposely omit Ace!
NEXT QUESTION: IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE SCENE WAS DELETED SO THAT ALL OF
THE CONCERT FOOTAGE WAS STRICTLY KISS?????

But it doesn't matter if it is on the workprint or not. Most
people can only judge by the released print of the film. Whether the
workprint has a shot of a boot in it or not is a moot point.

Hey, I am just giving my opinion. It doesn't necessarily mean anything.
That is why I say just ignore it. I said that because I couldn't figure out
how mentioning the workprint had any real use as it doesn't matter what is
in the workprint, if a shot is in the released print. What worth is that to
mention to the newsgroup? It doesn't prove or disprove anything. In that
context, it seemed like perhaps you were just looking for an opportunity to
brag on your workprint. People do that all the time in NG's, name dropping
etc. I can't help it if you are a hot head. I'll assume what I wish, as will
you & others. I didn't change the wording of anything of yours. Get a little
more secure in yourself and maybe then you won't get as bothered by someone
