Not exactly. There is a direct link when speaking of
Obama (sitting president) and Ayers or Wright (years
of direct connection).
Romney (holding no office) had no such connection
to Palin (who likewise held no office). No one is going
to say that Palin had no "star power". But however much
she had, it was a VERY limited segment and the rest
probably hated her. That is not the same as a 'real'
celebrity. That is not the same kind of exposure as
what OWS received on EVERY channel, on every paper
and website.

Not trying to blend anything, and don't really know
where/how it strayed.

Whaaaaaaat? Do you think there's somekinda sOOper-sekret
bank account feeding the million plus supporters of the TP?
Really dude? Say there's a million people that go out and
say ---> I LOVE THE FUCKING TEA PARTY!!!
How are these people NOT AVERAGE? Isn't the average
fucking american nowadays INDEED poor to barely
middle class? Isn't the fucking average american of medium
intelligence? Studies I've seen of the average TP member
says they're overall at or slightly above average everything.
"CNN statistics declaring they are predominantly male,
more college educated and higher earners than the
general population at large, but not necessarily older
or just from the South"
and then there's --
"Alas for stereotypes, they're convenient, often catchy.
But not necessarily true.
Now, comes a pair of polls, including Gallup, that paint
a revealing detailed portrait of Tea Party supporters in
most ways as pretty average Americans. A Sunday poll --
actually three national phone surveys of 1,000 registered
voters -- found that 17% of all polled, or more than 500,
called themselves "part of the Tea Party movement."
"It's a good sample size," David Winston, polling director
of the Winston Group that did the poll for an education
advocacy group, told the Ballot Box blog of The Hill newspaper.
The Tea Party adherents broke down 28% independent, 17%
Democrat and only 57% Republican."
and --
"A new Gallup Poll out this morning of 1,033 finds nothing
fringe about self-proclaimed Tea Party adherents; they are
slightly more likely to be employed, male and definitely
more conservative. But otherwise Gallup's Lydia Saad writes,
"their age, educational background, employment status, and
race -- Tea Partiers are quite representative of the public
at large."

Yes, it's a requirement for me to enter RMAK more often
than not.

Defense has been cut pretty hard. It's credited for being the
cause of the rise from 7.8 to 7.9 unemployment according
to a Reuters story I read a couple days ago.

I'll forward you a few of those smart pills as you
obviously didn't get the message. This IS NOT
about who got some kind of contract on FOX.
FOX viewers are hard conservatives. FOX/Palin
do NOT reach out to the masses of people that don't
even watch the fucking news. Which is the majority
of people obviously. If you wanted to follow Palin
you were rabid conservative already, and you
followed her blog or her rare FOX appearance. That
is TOTALLY different than turning to any station/website
or picking up any paper -- and being bombarded with OWS
for months.

Nope, the entire comparison was about what kind of
lasting affect one had vs the other.
