The first three Metallica albums are excellent, in my opinion. I have
never been a big fan of Kirk's lead guitar skills, but apparently
there are many that do. The last Metallica album that I bought was

is complete.

Metallica has some great songs, and albums out there IMO. I really
like Metallica's earlier releases, up till the black album. Load and
Re-Load I don't really care for, but I do enjoy Garage Inc. I do like
some of their earlier guitar work, especially when they had Cliff Burton.
He was the one who taught them alot of musical theory that I believed
really shaped their sound on the earlier albums, songs like "Orion," for
example. When Cliff died it is no doubt they lost something great.
However Metallica has been, and still is one of the best live bands out
there.

I don't compare Metallica to KISS because I enjoy both about the same, I
am a fan of both.

I also think Metallica is a great band.

They DID use computers to fix up Lars's drumming on the Justice album, as he
tends to play too fast.

And once when James Hetfild broke had broken his arm while skateboarding, a
roadie backstage played the guitar while Hetfield did the singing on stage.
You never saw the roadie.

This is only for your information, not me taking part in the discussion on
whether KISS is better than Metallica or vice versa. This is an individual
matter of taste. The bands style are not alike at all. If one HAVE to use
categories/genres of music, I'd say Mettalica is thrash and KISS is hard
rock.

Don't flame me for my opinion :)

Wrong.......
The roadie was "Jim Marshall" of Metal Church and he was on stage with the
band.
Saw them play that way in Columbia, SC.

You honestly think Metallica has played every instrument on every song on every
album??? You are deluding yourself. They are 2 totally different bands with
totally different styles. Why compare?- just enjoy it for what it is.
