I used to have it on a beta tape.I taped it off of HBO in 1977.It was a
great show.It is the Destroyer tourI was the only person in the whole
area that had a vcr.You could'nt even rent tapesfor about 4 years.

They use the Destroyer costumes but have the Alive 2 stage.
Does anybody know where I can find a copy of this???? Please post or send me e-mail at Fry...@aol.com--thanks
I remember watching this at a friends hose, around 1977-78. It
was the same tour as KISS Alive II. We didn't tape it because
back in the old days nobody had VCR's. I am surprised that with
all the other videos KISS has released over the years, that this
one was never re-released.

YES!!!! WHO HAS THIS???? I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!!! This was on HBO a long
ass time ago and it is TOTALLY KICK!!! I've been waiting a life time for
them to show this again but they haven't. I didn't even know what a
VCR was when this was televised, so suffice to say, I've only seen it
once and I DON'T HAVE A COPY!!!! WHERE, WHO, WHAT, HOW, WHEN????
This is a MUST HAVE for any Kiss fan! If anybody knows how to get this
then please share it with us.
If this is what I'm thinking about then IT IS A 1976 KISS CONCERT IN ITS
ENTIRETY!!!! This is worth killing for.

KISS - Budokan Hall
Tokyo, Japan 1977
It's great!
I bought it at the KISS Konvention when they came to Pittsburgh.
I also bought Kiss Meets The Phantom of the Park.

weighted about 100 pounds.I saw the show about a 1000 times!!!.now all I
have is a super 8 film of part of the show in Oakland Ca from 1976.

If is's the same show that I used to have then it is the Destroyer tour
not the rock and roll over tour.

>The Love Gun show was much more impressive.
it was the Love Gun Stage with the Destroyer (Rock and Roll Over)
costumes.....
Actually it is a 1977 show of Kiss in Japan. (The Budokan). They are in the
1976 costumes on the then brand new Alive II stage. It is a cool show but...
kinda dull. The lighting isn't too good. Maybe I have seen it too many times
cos I remember when I first saw this video in 77...I was spellbound...

I'm watching the tape right this second.
Maybe you can't mistake the Destroyer stage, but you musta had some
kinda funky VCR back then...... They are playing in front of the
Alive II set. There are no burned out buildings anywhere to be found.
Just setting the record straight......

>The HBO Special is the RnR Over Tour....Not Destroyer tour. They have the

>The only live footage currently available of the Destroyer Tour is a

I've only seen this thing once, but I do remember that R&R Over songs
were played on it. I would suspect that R&R Over was out by the time
it was filmed.
We may be confusing Kiss destroys Anaheim for the HBO special and that's
why people are disagreeing. But now that I think about it, weren't R&R
Over songs played on Kiss destroys Anaheim too?
When I saw Kiss in '76 it was after the release of R&R Over, but I
don't remember the stage set being as elaborate as the Love Gun tour.
And I don't remember any destroyed automobiles either.

He has a bunch of Kiss videos he copys and sells. His current catalog
lists three different dates in '76 that were pro-shot, four from '77, none
from '78, and one from '79, all pro-shot - these aren't 8mm films shot
from the audience or anything. The shows each of you guys is discussing
could be any of these.
Was there a 2nd KISS concert shown by HBO later on, perhaps in 79? Or
is Tokyo 77 the only one they've broadcast? TREVOR
