LOL. How are these guys going to reconcile this win with the fictional person they believe Obama to be? Was it all "voter fraud????" LOL.

Also FVH, I must confess something. What exactly does "hood rat" mean? I laugh every time I see it but I just realized I have no idea where it comes from.

FOUR. MORE. YEARS.

Oh, I'm sure they'll claim some sort of fraud or just remain in their
bubble pretending none of this is happening.

HOOD RAT is a play on the urban slang phrase "hood rat" that I've
turned on the KKK hood wearing folks of RMAK.

Yes! The Tea Party "movement" that the HOOD RATS were certain would
give America back to whitey ended up costing them potential control in
the Senate. The Republican Party has a LOT of work to do to get back
in the good graces of the youth, women, gays, minorities, and even
vets. That's where Obama won this election. Aligning with the Tea
Baggers backfired, as it should have.

Last I checked, Bachmann and West were fighting to be reelected as
well...how sweet it would be to see them dumped. And Grayson got back
in...nice turnaround for him.

> I wonder if Obama is already deemed as the worst two term President?

No question.

But I think that now, the House/repubs really have to think about
acting like adults and truly work with Obama. What should really have
been a fairly easy win for Romney was anything but...Obama won by a
greater margin than I thought he would and despite the UE percentage,
the Senate is held, Teabaggers got kicked in the junk. If "the people
have spoken", then I think the message is pretty clear.

Something will have to give if the Republicans want to gain the trust
of the people. They can't remain on this toddler attitude path if they
want to rebuild their party. I think Obama is willing to work with
them, they have to return the favor. I'm not confident they will,
after all the right's child like mentality won't go away just like
that. I hope things will get done, but we'll see.

Whatever's left of the Teabaggers likely will, I agree. But I think
the non-crazy repubs will realize that aligning with the nutters is a
losing proposition. If they have any hopes of staying alive as a
party, they're going to need to shed that element and start embracing
minorities, science and facts.

Yeah, I just saw she squeaked by. Unreal that she somehow finds enough
rubes willing to vote for her. West is apparently losing and, of
course, is demanding a recount. Fuckin' Florida.

The GOP is dying. They've got to change quickly if they want to
survive. The smarter elements of the party have been saying this for
awhile, but have been sadly drowned out by the crazies. After this
election's kick to their junk, I think they'll wake up.

And if they don't? Good riddance.

How can you single out Bachmann? Pelosi and Reid? The ENTIRE
senate was virtually left intact, D and R's both. Yet they have
the lowest rating of any congress ever. We bitch and moan about
how fucked up the system is, how fucked up our congress is, and
re-elect them over and over.

>> Something will have to give if the Republicans want to gain the trust
>> of the people.

WTH? The vote was like it always is -- virtually half and half.
2 million votes difference in a country over 300 million is
hardly a wake-up call. And in your words --> that's with
conservatives running a horrible candidate. Minorities
gave Obama another term. The stats don't lie. Almost 100%
black and 81% latino <who are our largest minority>.

They have offered up tons of bills but all of them had the
simple statement --> don't add to the deficit and don't
raise taxes. If that is rebellion, I'm all for it.

And Obama has NOT been willing to work with the other side.

You keep hanging out with the women and the minorities and
you'll always have the numbers. Lemme state again -

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government.
It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves
largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority
always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the
public treasury"

No truer words ever spoken.

I can single out Bachmann because despite whatever aspects of Pelosi
and Reid I disagree with or dislike, none of it comes close to the
idiocy and lunacy of Bachmann. None of it. She is a colossal moron,
and if you don't agree, you haven't been paying attention.

A complete and total lie. Unless, by "working with the other side" you
mean "doing whatever repubs want". And I suspect that's what you mean.

You keep hanging out with only the old white folks, and you'll soon
have...nothing. Welcome to the changing face of America. You can
either embrace and find ways to work with it, or you can saunter off
to the tar pits, rant about "how it used to be"...and wait for your
inevitable extinction.

Scanning the audience at Obama's speech this morning, I saw plenty of
white folks, and lots of diversity in general. THAT'S America.

The difference is that Bachmann has no impact on me whatsoever.
Reid and Pelosi are leaders on a national level. And the difference
of "pretty stupid" versus "amazingly stupid" is of no consequence
to me. I'd put them all in the same bag and label them equal except
for the fact that Reid and Pelosi have a much larger hammer.

The election was held about 4 days ago. What I've seen come from
the president was very plain and simple. He will NOT consider
legislation that doesn't include raising taxes on upper earners.
Within that same 4 days I've seen Boehner claim that raising taxes
is not an option within the HoR. So where are we? right back where
we were years ago. OTOH, Boehner DID say he would be quite willing
to work with the president to get rid of certain deductions in order
to increase revenue... so we'll see where it goes.

That's not true... I'll still have a nice nestegg to get us through.
Should those SS checks or food stamps run out or get cut way
back, it won't be us screaming and wailing. It simply isn't possible
to give every thing to everybody.

What does that even mean? Do you really think there won't be
another GOP president in the next couple elections? Really?
Do you think my accepting gay marriage or gays in the military
or racial equality -- isn't enough? Should I join a female militant
group to show how much I "belong''? We ALL change over the
years, become more accepting to the social changes, the tech
changes, etc. You think as this young generation gets older and
starts buying homes, making more money -- do you think they
will not change when they see their tax money flying from their
hands? No... it isn't me that has to change, I've changed a'plenty.
A man should never give up his principles... and it should be
the OBLIGATION of minorities <especially those foreign> to
become more 'american'. That is what made us great. Now the
muslims come here -- they don't want to 'americanize'... they want
to be exactly who the WERE, but on our soil. Mexicans that
come in, live in pure spanish speaking neighborhoods, never learn
english -- maybe THEY should change. Sometimes it shouldn't
be 'us' that sink down, but rather 'they' should rise.

My conversations with you have nothing to do with AJ or anyone else.
Dragging a third party into the mix is like saying you need some
kind of advantage or backup. My responses to you, yours to me,
should be able to stand on their own.

If I were to unblock FVH I'd almost guarantee you that he STILL
makes the same <stolen due to lack of any imagination> stupid
"racist'' "puddy" "hoodrat" drivel. I'd almost guarantee you that
he STILL replies to my or AJs posts... does that add anything to
any of your arguements? Do you need him to make a point for

and I will not answer for his. Do we share a few core beliefs?
Certainly... but I don't "fight" with you (or at least I don't consider
it a fight... we've gone back and forth for years without getting too
out of hand) why would I create a fight with AJ? He may go a differnt
route than I occasionally, but we more often than not reach the
same end.

A lot of people here consider me an idiot simply because
of my political views. To try and associate any of them with
YOU is silly. I'll deal with them on an individual level (should
they jump in) just as I would expect you to do with AJ.

That is America. Damn shame too. When I grew up, Americans had pride.
They were too embarrassed to be on food stamps. They were shunned
because they got a divorce. They hid their homosexuality. Today, every
one of those acts are completely accepted, if not glorified. A country
with no morals will not survive. Just because something is popular
does not mean it is good. Hell, One DIrection is one of the top acts
in the country. By your own account, I guess they are better than the
Beatles or Kiss. This country is going to hell in a handbasket. THe
illegal minorities need to be shot or driven out. End of story. That
is not a racist statement, as our current administration would like
you to believe. The piece of shit in office today is the biggest crook
out there. He hates this country and is trying to undermine it. This
country was a great country up until the 60s (other than slavery). We
had pride. Now it is every asshole from all around the world that do
not assimilate into the American lifestyle that they swore they would
when they applied to come here. Instead, they live their own lifestyle
as it was in their garbage country that they came from and do not
learn the language. Then they sue because the word Christmas offends
them. What bullshit is that. Get out of the country if you do not
agree with it's culture and laws. Barack Obama is only helping this
country dismantel itself. I dont worry though. The pendulum will swing
back. It always does.

So you cherry pick one stance Obama has to imply that he's been this
way on every issue the past four years. I think you know what
exquisite bullshit that is. If Obama were truly as you would have
everyone believe, we'd be hearing complaints from you guys about a
single payer healthcare system, not the repub version that he instead
chose to pursue. A repub version that was acceptable to repubs until
Obama embraced it, I might add. We also would not have seen an
extension of the Bush tax cuts. And the list goes on...

> What does that even mean? Do you really think there won't be
> another GOP president in the next couple elections? Really?

I think that if the economy doesn't continue to improve, it's possible
we might see a repub. But if we do, it won't be one like those in the
clown car collective we saw this time around. He/she will have to be a
moderate. And the "businessman" thing doesn't work either.

I don't think you're as "accepting" as you make yourself out to be. I
think it's more accurate to say you tolerate.* And congratulations for
tolerating aspects of humanity that you may not share. But it does
make me wonder: as someone who claimed to be liberal before turning to
the dark side, just what "liberal" views did you embrace?

As for the rest, what I see in those words is: they need to become
more "white", which is pretty laughable. Sink down? I'll tell you
what: I've been in some of those "'Merican" towns. Water couldn't find
a level lower than those places. Maybe we should raise our own
standards a bit before criticizing the standards of others?

I have always agreed with the stance that as a transplanted foreigner,
one should make every attempt to learn a country's language to a point
where you can at least be conversational. It seems to me to be a
common courtesy at the very least. But I'm less bothered by someone
who doesn't do that than I am by some moron who embraces his/her
ignorance and xenophobia under the guise of being a "real American".
If we're "exceptional", we should be above that.

*Which is not a criticism. I'm barely tolerant of certain elements of
this country. I'm sure you have an idea of which ones. This is why I
always laugh when one of the righties here tries to use the "tolerant
liberal" meme against me. Sorry, wrong "liberal"!

I don't disagree. But I've seen this meme that I "seek safety in
numbers" waaay too often -- laughable coming from someone who
constantly peppers his posts with "WE...blah blah blah". And for some
reason, you guys seem to want me to rip on Steve, like he's a pet that
took a dump in your back yard, and you expect me to discipline him or
something. You asked me what I thought of Steve's political posts at
one point, and I gave an honest answer. You did not return the
"kindness" when I asked you about AJ's rants, and I don't believe for
one second that you can't see the rampant stupidity in his
"arguments".

AJ thinks I side with Steve, I KNOW he sides with you. All I proposed
was an even exchange as far as "correcting" goes. And it's actually
already uneven, as I have called out some of Steve's posts in the
past. Off the top of my head, he once argued with me about who set the
Iraq withdrawal timetable. He was wrong about it, and I said so. Not
once have you or AJ done the same re: each other.

Not a big deal to me, really. AJ is the one who made the whining post
about how I should "correct" Steve. He fails to realize that unlike
him, Steve isn't in here bragging about having four degrees and being
"an college educated businessman", so people aren't going to be as
inclined to laugh at his typos, misspellings or grammatical errors.

conference in Baghdad. BUT, feel free to keep denying simple facts
thus making yourself look even dumber.

There's Baby AJ crying about mean old El Jefe making fun of his

We <as a nation> BEG for those jobs to come here.

Actually, I LOVE life. Obama got re-elected, which means no going back
to the stone age, I have a great job, a home in a neighborhood that is
diverse, family and friends that love and respect me, and no stress

My memory is a bit foggy on this one - but I believe my question to
you (regarding stevie) was a response to you constantly trying to
get me to call AJ out. It's of no matter - I shouldn't have asked you
to comment on steve and I regret it. Having your 'verification' about
steve served no point whatsoever. Everyone in the group knows he's
a dumbass and your verifying it served no purpose.

A) I seriously doubt you work, B) if by some miracle you do it's not

someone explain to you what it's really all about.

As are at least a fourth of those occupying DC. And anything Bachmann
might 'push' will have no affect on your or me. She's not likely to get
much thru her own party, much less thru a dem senate and White House.

No cherry picking... I'm using the only speech I've seen from him
since the election. He was asked what the election meant as far as
him trying to push future policy. If he will not bend on raising taxes
and Boehner will not bend either - we're back to where we started, are
we not?

You continue to say 'repub version' of health care. Yet you can
only point at a couple senators that tried. There was NO unified
<not even close> GOP bills regarding health care. Hell, OBAMA
never pushed for the single payer system. He never pushed at all.
That mongoloid 'baby' can be attributed almost fully on Pelosi and
Reid. Regarding Bush tax cuts -- let's see what Obama does when
they expire.

And again, I think you are wrong. Many of those in the house or
senate run big businesses <and small ones as well>. Having
business experience on your resume is/should be, only a good thing.
The only problem regarding Romney and his time at Bain was that
he allowed the dems to paint it as something it wasn't... a people
crushing, job exporting company.

I've always "tolerated" gays. No man or woman should be treated
unfairly due to their sexual preferences. That is not the same as
saying we should redefine the word marriage. Same with minorities,
every human deserves respect until they prove otherwise. That too,
isn't to say that they deserve automatic citizenship or our welfare
dollars.

> But it does
> make me wonder: as someone who claimed to be liberal before turning to

<sigh>
Nearly all my social views are pretty liberal.
Having been a teen in the mid-70's, I was against
Viet Nam, listened to nothing but hard rock, was
married while sporting a ponytail that reached my belt.
You've seen me state that our drug laws are unreasonable,
you've seen me state that people should be left alone as
long as they bother no one else.

No -- not more 'white'... more "AMERICAN".

You're not so far away -- you ever been to Tijuana? You want to
give me a similar example here in the states? You want me to post
the SAT averages of blacks and minorities? Go to any of the larger
cities and tell me how much english you hear being spoken.
Compare that to the asians that come here. Compare that to
those that came here 100 years ago and worked sun-up to
sundown, never receiving a dime in any kind of 'aid'.

I only have a couple definitions that make one a 'real american'..
one of those is that if you come here that you should work your
ass off and not take from those that allowed you in.

Oh, they do it as well -- the strategically placed blacks and minorities
when Romney or a Bush is giving a speech... they are hand-picked as
to where they will stand. Gotta be all pc and shit nowadays.

We lost Siemens <in our town> recently. A German company
that paid a very good wage. It didn't matter one damn about
who was signing the check. Nissan <in middle Tennessee> builds
cars here -- they build them in Japan as well. So what? Chrysler
wants to build Jeeps in China? They've got that right. The entire
problem regarding ANY of this is that the US has so much red tape,
so many taxes, so many regulations... that companies are going
overseas. THAT is the problem. Fix that shit and you'll see us start
making shit here again.
