"Not that there's any thing wrong with that" I have heard rumors to
that effect since I was a kid in the late 70's, but have never heard
anything concrete. Just curious.

I seriously doubt it.

1. He is married and has a son. I know, sometimes gay people try to 'act
normal' by gettimg married and having kids, but one look at his wife and I
doubt it.

2. Paul Stanley was in a race with Gene Simmons to see which one would be the
first to beat Wilt Chamberlin. C'mon. . .

3. The music - as much as he talks about women, writes about women, sings
about women, I'd have a VERY hard time believing it. It would make the Rock
Hudson sham look like nothing if he were.

PS - if KISS rocks, does it matter?

I think he's possibly beating around the bush and trying to ask why does
Paul act so feminine. I mean he really does have strong lisp and I would
tend to beleive that most peoples reactions would be the same, by asking

Now, take this for what its worth. I have a friend in the music biz, who
knew some people who were close to KISS. According to this woman he
knew, Paul hit from both sides of the plate. I don't know if I believe
it. I don't know how good my friend's sources are. He is as big a KISS
fan as they come, and I honestly don't know why he'd start anything or
perpetuate a rumor like this.

I believe Rock Hudson was married also. So is/was Mick Jagger, David
Bowie, Pete Townshend, Rod Stewart, and many others. Marriage don't mean
squat! So is Vinnie Vincent(twice w/2 kids) and everyonne here seems to
think he's gay. Does it really matter though? The music is what I like,
I don't spend anytime in Paul's bedroom who the hell cares what he does
there!

NO. Paul Stanly is just a lesbian in a man's body. I wouldn't be surprised if he was/is a closet
transvestite though. Some of his costumes HAVE bordered on "frilly".
Before forming KISS with Gene Simmons, Paul ( or Stanly, his real first name) was greatly
inspired by The New York Dolls, popular in the early 70's then broke up around 1975. The Dolls
performed while wearing women's makeup and clothing.
Or course, if Paul wore a dress on stage, KISS never would have made it!

Kiss has been an endless supply of rumours. In the '70's they had
a huge poster featuring shots of Kiss live in '75. One shot on the
poster had Gene sticking out his tongue and Ace sucking on it. And
then was in the SEVENTIES! Imagine the rumours. Man, everytime I
look at that picture even I have to wonder.

This damn rumor began in Japan during KISS' 1977 tour. Hit my site,
go to the "KISS" section, click my KISS articles link, & read the
December 1977 article on KISS, this will answer all questions about
Paul's sexuality & how this rediculous rumor began!

I care but only from a curiosity standpoint. If he is and is in the
closet, I think it is a greaat disservice he is dong to the gay
community. If he is not, he is definately carrying off a great
stereotype act...

Point in case:
He is rather effeminate in his moves, the way he dances, (that dynasty
outfit) and he closes the show by coming on stage in a dressing gown
complete with a tearaway skirt and boa feathers, He is almost always
making a kissy face or voguing (ie the inside picture of YWTBYGTB), and
the color that he "has chosen" (Ace=blue, Gene=red, Peter=green,
Paul=lavendar) is lavender, a color often associated with homosexuality.

Miss thing is not winning any butch wars in my book...

Gene on the other hand very obviously picked up on the sluttiest girl in
the 3rd row at the Houston concert and was "backstage" with her during
Aces solo. She sat right in front of me and it was all over for him once
she flashed him her bare breasts.

Marriage means nothing! Haven't you heard the stories of people that get
married and then realize they are homosexual?

I think all of you are too quick to defend Paul's sexuality... I think
there is a very good chance that Paul could swing both ways... just look
at the way he acts in Exposed... and don't tell me he is acting either!
He is very feminine in the way he puffs his hair (Gene did this too, I
know! he could be gay too... look at him in the "Who Wants to Be Lonely"
video, YIKES!) Paul lisps.. he just fits the gay stereotype...

Now.. don't get me wrong people! I LOVE KISS and have every CD, but you
have to face the fact that they have lives that we don't know about... we
as fans can discuss anything we want!

Maybe everyone who comes to Paul's defense may have a little problem
facing that fact that it could be true, and they try to stomp it out as
fast as they can... "oh no... not this thread again, KILL!" And then you
start saying it doesn't matter even if he is... well if it didn't matter
then you wouldn't be responding so adamantly...

I have a right to speculate on anyone's sexualtiy that I choose!

wrong with being gay.. I'm just discussing it, so what if he's gay? He
