They all use Kleins (sp?) clown white, black grease sticks, and Ace uses
Kleins Metallic Silver, Paul uses the cheapest red lipstick he can find.
The Kleins make-up you won't find at a K-mart or Hills or Walmart, you
pretty much have to go to a place that sells theatrical make-up.
The silver that I used for Ace that I bought from those cheaper stores
looks almost grey, and aweful to boot.
Good Luck

Hmmmm, Klein's Clown White. Gene Klein. Maybe that is how he made his
fortune: supplying makeup for his band!
I assume you think Gene Klein is Genes real name, I thought that too, but
I have heard it as Chiam Witz, or something strange like that, how bout
you?

Chiam Witz is his birth name, which he later changed to Eugene Klein which
then became Gene Simmons.
Take it easy!

Ok, Klein's is pretty expensive, but it's worth it. Don't forget to baby
powder afterwards to set it. If you can't find that, then a THICK layer of
the white stuff they sell at (believe it or not) Hallmark will work, too.
Since most men don't know too much about makeup--as far as cheap red
lipstick--go with Wet And Wild (.99) or Artmatic (.59) Other cheap brands
tend to crumble really bad, or are pale. Silver you can also get (in a
teensy weensy little tube) from Hallmark. (No, I don't work there, but
over the years, I have found what they sell to work well for Kiss
costumes). Put a thick coat of the silver, but it has really nice
sparklies in it, whereas most costume silver shows up as a dull grey.
Finally, Wet and Wild black eyeliner is really good (and cheap) for doing
the outlines on your face to begin with.
