Warrant blew Poison off the stage. They were a good live act back

I saw them a few times at Gazzarri's when I lived in LA back in '86-'87.
Never really impressed me either. Now Poison, that's a WHOLE other can of
worms - man - I think they are just an incredible act!
It's a shame... What's the guy doing in a hotel (in the city he lives in)

Saw Warrant twice...in their heyday opening for Motley Crue and
then once about 6 years back and Jani Lane was 250 pounds with a

That whole genre turned me off. It was like the sole purpose was to get
girls listening to the music. Living in Hollywood in the mid 80's was a
very eye-opening time for me. There were many great bands, but then
there were bands like Warrant that just lived to dress up on the
weekends and pimp their shows.
For some reason, and I don't know why - maybe it's because Poison was
from Harrisburg, PA and I was familiar with them prior - but I always
thought they were just better than ANY of those bands - including Guns &
Roses. I'm not saying they're under-rated - they certainly got famous -
but, I think G&R was over-rated. I don't even think they were the best
band on the Strip back then...
So.... what's this rambling have to do with Warrant?? :)
Just bringing back memories of those days for me. I would watch a guy
like Lane performing and wish I could be like him!

Warrent. The guy was a legit songwriter, but was pigeonholed in that "hair
metal" catagory ("he wrote that Cherry Pie song, he sucks") so was never
taken seriously.
Love or hate hair metal, there were a LOT of legit musicians that played in
those bands. People saw the hair, makeup, and spandex and assumed they
couldn't play.

going to get a great show. It was all about having a good time, which is
what a concert should be all about.
The problem with hair metal is they made it a point to cater to girls/women.
Bands like Poison were musically good, but looked like women, so most men

true. On my ACTUAL Amazon seller's account I don't accept checks or money

never had it) and since I don't accept checks/money orders on either my
