4pm
Just woke up again. I was just thinking about the time me and Tommy
were tag-teaming this chick behind Kiss's drums while they were
playing Rock n' Roll All Nite here in Scottsdale. We thought it was
just fun, then we found out it was the drummer's girlfriend. Ouch.
Nice girl, I think her name was Bambi. Now there's one you want to
take home to mom. Can you imagine? Hi mom, this is my future ex-wife,
Bambi...
If you believe half of what the Mikki Mouse says you must believe Gene's
hair is real as well.
This is bullshit. I guess he was tag teaming while he was shooting jack
daniels mixed with heroin next to bright light.
More like he was tossing tommy's salad. what a nice image.
Mikki is full of shit.

Hey, just because Eric Carr has been elevated to some level of Kiss
sainthood because he died of cancer doesn't mean his girlfriend
couldn't of been a slutty whore. Right, Wes?
ANYWAY YOU LOOK AT IT, THE GUYS DEAD...SHOW SOME FUCKING RESPECT!
> ANYWAY YOU LOOK AT IT, THE GUYS DEAD...SHOW SOME FUCKING RESPECT!
Yes...Eric Carr could have never had a girlfriend who was a slutty
whore because he is dead and I respect him for that, you know, being
dead and never dating a slutty chick because a slutty chick would
never date a guy who would eventually die from cancer and a guy who
would eventually die from cancer would also never date a slutty chick,
which I show respect for. The guy, not the cancer nor the girl, dig?

Are you kidding? You should read Chris Lendt's book.. he had a bunch
of chicks in his room from Brazil after that big show they did there.
He didn't know they were all prostitutes and expected to be paid for
spending the evening with him.
The sad part was he didn't even get laid... :|

More like the "chick" they thought was "Bambi" was really Vinnie Vincent.
Just because he died?
Doesn't make sense to me.
Represent someone as they really were - whether or not they are living
or dead is irrelevant.
Same thing happened to Randy Rhoades - as soon as he died his status as
a guitar player increased tenfold.
Jimi Hendrix is the most over rated guitarist to ever breathe.
He is a much better example than Rhoades
Look at Cobain. When he died, he became a legend. Had he lived, his
music would have faded away and gone the way of every other Seattle
band that was once huge.

Stupid humans...
Speaking of Eric.... I'm moving, and hadn't remembered where some of my tour
books were.. My wife says, 'you have one more box in the attic'... And sure
enough - the 3 tour books Eric gave me in '83 were in the box... Alive II,
Dynasty, and Creatures..... Brought back a lot of memories..
He has my utmost respect!
Eh... I'm no big fan of Hendrix, but, he truly was a talented spirit... He
coaxed moods and sounds out of his gear that were incredible...
Rhoads.... I never got that guy....
*I'm not a huge Rhoads fan, but IMO Ozzy's solo career probably would
have been short lived without him.
Hendrix is not he end all be all like he is made out to be.
Being first means nothing. Ford came before lamborghini, but the
lamborghini is better.
I get sick of that he an original excuse. Means nothing.

I disagree. Without people like Hendrix and Albert King we would never
have had Steve Ray Vaughn.

I'd rather he pop some paraquat.
I'm also a huge Randy Rhoads fan and you're right. At least for me,
Ozzy's music really went down the shitter after Randy's death.
But without the Ford, the Lamborghini *could* have been radically
different. While some folks may not care for Jimi Hendrix's playing,
he certainly influenced a shitpot of great guitarists. While Jimi
was certainly innovative, he also borrowed from folks before him like
Buddy Guy and T Bone Walker.
I have been to hundreds of shows and seen many guitarists that play
better than Hendrix. He was a drug abusing hack.
I have no use for the dead loser and refuse to idolize that piece of
garbage.
again, nothing personal to anyone in this group, I just hate hendrix,
always have, always will.
You're saying you don't like the CD's with 'No More Tears', 'Demon Alcohol'
or 'Crazy Babies'???? I'd rate them pretty high... I think NMT is a
recording masterpiece..
He still had great chops.... Have you ever listened to his touch, or his
phrasing??
I think he was one of those guys that died at his peak. Had he lived
through the 70's, he wouldn't have been revered as much.

I liked him a lot. He died right before the Florida shows, so I've
always felt a little ripped off and pissed, as I had my ticket
already...
Oh bullshit. They're less reliable and more expensive to fix. I'd
rather have a Ford GT than a Lambo...

True. SRV was a huge Hendrix fan.
On a related note (Texas blues), check out Wes Jeans, yet another guitar
wonder from TX. I saw him live recently at a small venue... he's very good,
WITHOUT being a SRV or Hendrix clone.

Hendrix sucked. I don't care what any of you apoligits says. I have
seen hundreds of shows in person and thousands on tape and DVD and
there are countless player that are vastly superior to Hendrix. Bruce
is one of them, so is Vinnie. Hendrix wouldn't be so loved if he

get praise in death that they never got during life. Piss on that. He

You don't need to do something for a living to critique it. That is a
lame analogy that weak people use. If that were truly the case,
there'd be NO sports talk shows. Same thing with movie critics. Not
one of them has ever made a movie. I don't remember space case.
Whoever that is.
Space ace on the other hand..... I think he left because AJ was
posting links to kiss concerts. That has to be the lamest reason on
earth to leave a group. That guy has his priorities messed up.
*Yeah that was pretty messed up. We were friends for about 8 or 9
years before that. That dude was just too much drama, and for him to
get that upset over me posting links to shows was just stupid.
None taken.. and don't misunderstand me. I'm not a "fan" of Hendrix
either. In fact.. oddly enough most of the State of Washington is like
"oh.. yea... he IS from here, huh?".
Sadly much of this state STILL gets wrapped around the axle over Cobain.

AGREED. There is no bigger waste of flesh in the history or rock and
roll than that piece of shit Cobain. ZERO talent.
Grunge killed heavy metal in america and the SellouticA black album
helped.
Thank God for power metal.
*Speaking of power metal, Do you like Dream Evil or Battlelore? I have
a few of their CD's. Not bad. BTW, the new Hammerfall is out. Although
it's just a best of CD, there are a couple new somgs on there as
well.

I sort of agree with you - but it does help when you're critiquing art,
which isn't quantifyable as sports...

Hendrix was a matter of context. He was doing things no one else was
at the time. His influence is what was great. I like hearing a song
now and then, but sitting through a whole album gives me a headache.

Musicians, and by that, I am referring to people that aren't forced to
play an instrument by their parents, are generally more attuned to
nuances of music that other people take in collectively.
I've played guitar for over 30 years, and Hendrix was one of the
guitarists that I studied for a while. You may not like his music,
but to say he sucks and disregard his contribution to rock music is,
in my opinion, naive.

I guess this is where different opinions kick in and that's cool. For
me, the single screaming note that Jimi hits in Machine Gun kills
Vinnie and Bruce's entire recorded catalog. To these ears, Vinnie
plays fast without a lot of taste and Bruce's playing is just sort of
faceless and boring.

Thanks AJ. I love Hammerfall. I met the guys in Columbus Ohio when

I am just sick of him, that's all. No offense man.
Eric Carr, yes.
Not someone that killed himself with drug abuse. Eric died through no
fault of his own. Therefore, he gets my respect. That and he was the
nicest guy on the face of the earth.
NAH!! I was just joking. whenever I use the built like a god BS, it's

know I was just kidding.
Well that's an entirely different matter. Like I said, small doses.
And he really hasn't come out with too much new lately, unlike Tupac
and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
And it takes a lot to offend me...
Arguably Jimi wasn't TRYING to kill himself.
And while were on the subject, I have a theory about the human body.
It's like a machine, it can only work for so long, then it's worn out.
You only can get so many movements out of a given body part.
In other words, when you're working out, you're wearing out your body
at an increased rate.
YOU'RE KILLIN' YOURSELF, DUDE
Well I ruled out the god o' brains a long time ago. LOL
