I want to complete my Emmylou collection. Does anyone know where I can get
hold of Evangeline & Thirteen. They seem to be unavailable from all the
usual CD sites (CD Now and Amazon etc).

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Sorry, Tom. Neither album has ever been issued on cd anywhere in the
world. I can only suggest that you try to obtain good vinyl lps from
reputable used record stores.

Good luck

Does anybody have a clue why these albums were never released on CD? Were they
the worst sellers in Emmylou's catalog? Just curious.

ISTR that Thirteen was *supposed* to have been released on CD sometime
in 2000.

There are several songs on Thirteen that I especially like.

Not really supposed, but Eminent Records was - and I hope very
much - is still planning to do so. The following is what Steve Wilkison
from Eminent Records returned to me in March 2000:
'We hope to release "13", "The Ballad Of Sally Rose", "Evangeline" and
"White Shoes" (all of which are out of print on CD in the US) later
this year or early next year. However, we have not yet received
clearance from Warner Bros. on these four projects, so it's not for
sure.

Hope this helps.

Recently, I have purchased White Shoes and The Ballad of Sally Rose. They
are from warner bros., and are made in Germany. Is there a difference
between these and the possible Eminent releases? Norm

I suppose they won't be different, provided that Eminent will actually
have the rights and possibility, to re-issue the albums some time.
As for German Warner-Reprise albums of Emmylou Harris: As far as I know,
are all the ones ever produced and/or sold here, not different to the
Warner-Reprise originals in the USA and Canada.
