Try this: (the spelling is mine)

Changó 'Ta Vení (Justi Barretto)

"Changó 'ta vení,
Changó 'ta vení,
Changó 'ta vení."

"Con el machete en la mano,
tierra vá temblá.
Y Sarabanda malongo,
mundo vá acabá."

"Obatalá."

"Changó 'ta vení,
Changó 'ta vení,
Changó 'ta vení."

Coro:

"Sarabanda Chango 'ta vení"

Here are my favorites "guìas" from Andy Montañez and El Gran Combo:

1.- "Sarabanda, sarabanda"

2.- "Sarabandá, sarabandá te está llamando"

3.- "Con el machete en la mano"

4.- "Sarabanda, sarabanda, sarabanda, sarabanda, sarabanda"

5.- "La tierra que vá temblá"

6.- "El mundo se vá acabá"

(mambo)

I hope it helps.

This is perhaps Justi Barretto's most recorded composition.

César.

Are these lyrics quoted in Lavoe and Colon's "Aguanile"?

Possibly. Believe or not, I'm not that familiar with that tune.

Actually, Celia Cruz and La Sonora Matancera sings a rendition of
"Chango ta Veni", it's a really cool cut of the song.

The version from Gilberto Santarosa with Willie Rosario is my
favorite.
