The event, 3 days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday--February 19th, 20th, and
21st--takes place at the New Yorker Hotel on 34th Street and 8th Avenue, one
block from Madison Square Garden, the Main Post Office and from Macy's
Department Store and 2 blocks from the Empire State Building.
The over 150 speakers and 150 exhibits have become a Mecca to health
enthusiasts who in thousands attend every day, particularly Saturdays and
Sundays.
Kenneth Lane, who has world-premiered 6 songs by Richard Wagner in his 4th solo
mainstage CARNEGIE HALL full concert Thursday May 28th, 1998, at 8 PM,
demonstrates the surge of optimism and vital energy implicit in hearing and/or
performing Wagner. One can release one's stress, develop a healthy physique
and a can-do positive outlook through appropriate music protocols. Just as
food selection affects one's moods and physical well-being, so does the proper
"diet" of music lead to serenity of purpose and high=plateaued Golden Fleece
quests.
Beyond the dynamic Wagner programmed, including the Prize Song, and his
Carnegie Hall-premiered Wagner's Lullaby, Mr. Lane will sing live the soaring
Postillon with its high D natural, William Tell's 2 heroic arias for the tenor
Arnold with a total of 8 high Cs, and the flippant, buoyant La belle Helene
aria sung by Paris with its high C, all territory usually beyond the
capabilities of heroic tenors of Mr. Lane's vocal strength. Music's relevance
to physical Health and Outlook will be demonstrated.
